This used to be a KOA which is to bad for KOA because it would of been one of the nicer ones I stayed at. They have a large pool and swim pond with a bunch of inflatables. We pulled in on a Saturday night and the park was half full. Spots are a wee bit larger then you would expect from a private park with 2X sewer drop at each site and fairly level gravel sites. The park is on the newer side and they did a nice job of setting it up. The only bummer is its close to the freeway and at night you can hear the traffic. It was not horrible but noticeable to the point I ran the fan to drown the noise. I would stay again and might make it a regular stop if it was not so close to the Highway. We camped at Oasis Campground and Waterpark (formerly Hancock/ Stevens Pt South KOA in a Travel Trailer.

I just called them and was advised that of a week ago they are no longer affiliated with LOA. They are now called The Oasis Campground and Water Park. We camped at Oasis Campground and Waterpark (formerly Hancock/ Stevens Pt South KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This is a great, newer campground, and one of best out of 13 we stayed at in trip. It is one of KOA's "Journey" campgrounds, meant to be near interstates as handy stop over points, but we spent 4 nights there in order to span 4th of July holiday. However, you do pay a premium for it. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and well maintained grounds, buildings and pool, nice wide roads and sites that are level and easy to maneuver, and most appeared to be pull-throughs. Well-stocked camp store, firewood delivery and on-site trash pick-up, new laundry facility, even a pretty decent fireworks show at camp for the holiday! We were in a primo site that even had a concrete pad. Only minor complaints were that their WiFi was dysfunctional (Verizon signal very good though), and constant faint highway noise from I-39. As noted by others, no cable TV connection, and supermarkets are not nearby. We camped at Oasis Campground and Waterpark (formerly Hancock/ Stevens Pt South KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Bikers should definitely check out the excellent Green Circle Trail in Stevens Point, and gardeners must stop at very close by the beautiful Hancock Agricultural Station demonstration gardens. Birder? Then make the drive to Necedah NWR, and see whooping cranes and red-headed woodpeckers, among others (we went twice!)

We stayed here for two nights. We have been searching for a "go-to" campground not too far from home that we could go to when we just want to get away for a couple days, and we have found it! The hosts are so friendly and happy to assist you. We got in after dark on Friday. The host actually got into his golf cart and led us to our site and assisted in getting us lined up. All the sites are level and large. Some are shaded, some are not. There is a fenced in dog park as well as a walking trail around the entire park. The pool was closed for the year but there is a pond for swimming or paddling around. All in all, we were extremely happy with our experience and look forward to our next stay! We camped at Oasis Campground and Waterpark (formerly Hancock/ Stevens Pt South KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed Saturday night of the Labor Day weekend as we were passing through the area. Newer park in this area and is built in the modern KOA style with big club house/office and laundry combined. Site we had was crushed gravel pull through about 80 feet with electric pedestal and water placed well and two sewer connects to give you a choice. Coded interior gate and outer gate is closed at 10:00 PM. A good stop but a little high dollar for us. We camped at Oasis Campground and Waterpark (formerly Hancock/ Stevens Pt South KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground has a brand new, squeaky clean feel to it. As you drive in, you pass between two gorgeous totem pole type chain saw carvings. More carvings from the same artist are placed around the log cabin style building that houses the office. Our campsite was shady, level and the utilities were easy to use. There is a pond, which we saw families swimming in, with a beach . There is a giant pillow bounce and some kind of train thing that pulls little kids around the campground in the evening. We enjoyed the swimming pool. It looked like one campsite had access to a hot tub. We camped at Oasis Campground and Waterpark (formerly Hancock/ Stevens Pt South KOA in a Motorhome.

We only stayed one night. The sites are level and spacious with a few trees. . We were almost directly across from the dog park which was clean and spacious also. That is a big draw for us so we were happy to see it. We did not see or use the pool due to the rain. They gave (train) type rides for the kids and (adults). Cute. I walked the dogs in the morning in the large field behind the dog park. They have a very small store in the registration building. They picked up your trash if you placed it out in front of your site. We camped at Oasis Campground and Waterpark (formerly Hancock/ Stevens Pt South KOA in a Motorhome.

Park looks very new, is well maintained, and has good security. Staff made great efforts to accommodate us in a site that would work with our rig. site was level and spacious. Dog exercise area was clean and big enough for our corgis to run a bit. Also, a spring-fed pond was fun for both us and the dogs to cool off.

The bathroom situation was strange. Although very clean, only one bathroom/shower was available after hours because the other was inside the pool area and locked. There are 2 other bathroom/showers available that are ADA, but you have to pay for them: not sure if this is even legal.

Downsides were some highway noise, and very bright halogen lights on the buildings that didn't allow much darkness if you're a star gazer.

We would stay again but not for a vacation: more as a stopover. We camped at Oasis Campground and Waterpark (formerly Hancock/ Stevens Pt South KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Nearest grocery is in Plover or Wautoma. iMap indicates 2 others that are closer but one was a factory farm (Hancock) and the other was a permanently closed grocery store (Coloma.) Small taverns around the area were fun and had a good fish fry on Friday.

As I noted in my first review of this park 2 years ago, all the sites are pull through and full hookup. Most are gravel, fairly long and wide, and appear to be level. There is no cable TV and many sites are not cable friendly. There is a nice pool and other recreational facilities. The bathrooms, showers, and laundry are modern and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. We camped at Oasis Campground and Waterpark (formerly Hancock/ Stevens Pt South KOA in a Motorhome.

This KOA is new and very nicely laid out. All interior roads are gravel. Sites 1-5 are "premium" sites with concrete pads, all the rest are gravel pads. Our rate reflects parking in a premium spot. Sites are reasonably spacious. If one has a stationary satellite dish, trees in the regular sites may interfere. Wi-Fi was strong. No cable service. Staff were very friendly. Restrooms are modern and clean. The Park is within view of the Interstate (39) but far enough away enabling it to be quiet. We would stay here again. The owners and employees are amazing! They delivery firewood and propane directly to your site. They are always happy and smiling. The campground itself is clean but still fairly new so they are constantly doing new things to it. By far nicest KOA I have stayed in. New this year. Washrooms have individual shower toilet and sink. Pool very large, sites level and easy access. Very helpful hosts. All KOAs should follow this standard. We camped at Oasis Campground and Waterpark (formerly Hancock/ Stevens Pt South KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a new campground opened just this year. Not everything it up and running right it will take time .

They are friendly they escort you to your site if you don't like your site they will change it. I don't expect it to be a nice lush green grass campground because of the sandy soil but there is native grass that is growing. There is a fenced in dog run which not many campgrounds have. This is a brand new KOA about 30 miles south of Stevens Point just off I-39. We stayed here on the Sunday night after the 4th of July. After a full weekend, they were only 1/3 full. The 74 sites I listed above are only the RV sites. There is no specific number of tent sites and the cabins are being built. The sites are all full hookup, pull-through, on level gravel pads. They are long and wide. The facilities/amenities (pool, swimming pond, office, lodge, half a dozen individual bathrooms, pet area, playground, etc.) are all new and working. Their Wi-Fi network worked well in our RV. The hot tub is on hold due to stringent local rules. Some work is still being done on the grounds (cabins, fences, landscaping, etc.). The traffic noise from I-39 may bother some people. Except for the price ($50) and lack of cable, this looks like it will be an excellent RV park. The owners are hands on, live on site, and are very friendly. We camped at Oasis Campground and Waterpark (formerly Hancock/ Stevens Pt South KOA in a Motorhome.
