Sep 2018 - $52.00
Other recent reviews should be considered. We were very happy here. Road noise, and train noise, stopped us from giving it a 10. Wifi was excellent even over the Labor Day holiday! Cable TV was good but since our satellite worked well, we didn't use the cable. Office staff very helpful! Verizon worked fine. No grocery shopping nearby. The site on the upper terraces are terrific. Good spacing between sites, long pull throughs. A nicely landscaped campground. A terrific KOA! - rncordy
Aug 2018 - $45.00
This the prettiest camp ground we have ever stayed at. There were flower gardens everywhere. There is a large dog park. Well maintained hiking trail. Lots of things for families and children. We would definitely stay here again. - dmpemt
Aug 2018 - $43.00
Stayed for the night in a pull through site - rained tons but early the next morning the staff was pick up tree limbs and regrading the interior roads that had washed out Very quiet campground as its 3 miles east of the freeway Great campground. - rr2254545

The park is close to interstate as stated but did not bother us, we had a great stay with a group of people. We have returned this was our 3rd trip and are returning again in August and September. Everyone keeps their atvs quiet and they are only allowed on one street basically. I will admit the yards could be better kept mowed and weeded but the price is great, people are friendly and it is a great location and my cabin has always been clean. We would recommend this to others, just not on our weekends haha ,we want our favorite cabin to ourselves. - patricias
May 2016 - $45.00
This park is a mobile home park with some campsites. Most sites are seasonal and the majority of them are in poor shape. All sites needed the grass cut, very long and full of weeds. Full hookup sites are narrow and need lots of attention. Campground is located near a popular ATV trail which means lots of ATVs at sites. Only the main road is paved, remaining roads create clouds of dust. Pool was open but did not use, looked older with very few chairs. We will not come back, there are other places to stay. - Sugar's Dad
Aug 2015 - $40.00
Not much good to say about this park. It is a mobile home park that offers RV sites. Also appears to be a lot of seasonal units there that folks lease the site for the summer and leave their RV on the site. All RV sites are within about 500 yards of the interstate and pretty noisy because of that. Sites are grass and or dirt. I wasn't able to log in to their wi-fi (I am no novice but not an expert at that.) I would not recommend this place unless you can't find another park. - bobinidaho

Aug 2011 - $20.00
Reserved this for a 5 day stay for our anniversary. What a total disappointment! We stayed in site 5. The site was listed as a pull-through. It was a pull through, but it was totally backwards, as were many of the other pull through sites. The door faced the road while the picnic table and fire ring were on the back side. The mosquitos were very bad and spray only helped a little. The fire wood was cheap and self serve which is a plus. Wisconsin has many nice state parks. This is not one of them. We will not come back to this one. - msstella
Jun 2009 - $29.00
The fee includes a day park pass, and a camping site with electricity. We had the park entirely to ourselves. There is some traffic noise from I-94. It is a gorgeous location. We would stay here again. - User3761
Sep 2007 - $12.00
This is a beautiful park in a wooded shady area, one of several in Black River State Forest. There are five 30 amp electric sites and 8 pull throughs. Big rig friendly. Dump station. Non resident rate $12 weekdays, $14 Friday and Saturday; $5 extra for electricity. Discounts for Wisconsin residents and for Wisconsin seniors. - meanderingman

Jul 2014 - $30.00
I am afraid this "resort" gets the award for the worst campground we have stayed at-ever! First of all, it is NOT a resort, basically a bunch of campsites set in a pine thicket with a bar in the middle. Most people who were there were full time 'summer people'. The road getting there is very, very crooked and narrow, not big rig friendly at all. When I checked in, I asked if they had clean, hot showers, 'oh yes', the lady proprietor assured me. We decided not to unhook to go back down the very crooked road to town to get a bite to eat, so elected to eat at the bar. Very expensive food that was ok at best. We later wished we'd just gone back to town for a meal. The 'clean showers' were a joke, two unisex rooms with a toilet, sink and open shower(no shower curtain), tacked onto the back of the bar. Someone had seen fit to steal all the toilet tissue, so had to provide our own. Apparently the 'full timers' living there use them as their own, as their personal toiletries were scattered all over shower room. Floor was bare concrete, and nasty, nasty, nasty. I hated to even sit my shower bag on the floor, particularly since the entire floor gets wet from the open shower. Overall, just a awful, nasty experience for what I had been assured was a 'very clean, hot shower' by the proprietor. We couldn't wait to get up the next morning and get out of there and find something better. Definitely not worth the price they charge to stay at the 'resort'. - Southwest Travelers

This park has a limited number of full hook ups it is really geared to tent campers. That being said, it has beautiful campsites and a wonderful river access canoes and kayaks are available for rent and tubing is a available at the campground. - Bruce and Janette
Sep 2008 - $35.00
I have heard they are strict on noise after dark. We were traveling with other families and we get kind of loud after the kids go to bed but I am happy to say, we did not have any problems. This is a small campground with very nice looking cottages near the camping sites. The beach is awesome and my dog loved doggie dip hours. I probably won't bring my dog next time because you have to give a $25 pet deposit and sign a form with their dog rules. While we love doggie dip hours, we couldn't bring our dog to the beach any other time of day and they did drive by in a cart to check when I walked my dog down to the beach. The playground was satisfactory, kids had fun, the 1-2 block walk to the falls was worth it - great photos. The sites were good sized, and the price was reasonable. We did the 1 hour $25 canoe trip which was perfect for all our young kids and they allowed my dog to come! - travlin-with-tots

"New Owners - very nice park" There are new owners and they are very nice and accommodating. Park is very clean and good size level sites. We have a 42' class A and we had a great pull-through spot. They also have a few cabins. We are planning on bringing our RV club back next summer. They have a very nice enclosed room great for club meetings/meals. One of the cleanest parks I have ever stayed at. The new owners were very friendly. Very nice stay. - Dr Don
Aug 2010 - $40.00
Their website says $30 a night. They actually charge $30 a night PLUS $5 a person. Very unstable electric and the owner admits he wired it himself. They tried putting us in a site that was too small and would have had the front of our MH sticking out into the road. Way overpriced for the condition of this campground. - srt20
Oct 2009 - $16.00
Very nice campground. Gravel roads and sites. Some shade sites, some without shade. Very nice playground for kids. Good Wi-Fi. Looks like they have about 30 more sites in development. Most sites were filled with seasonal rigs so there were only a few available. Our rate was using PA. We stayed for one night, but would stay again and for longer. - sendthefire

Jun 2018 - $38.00
This is an excellent park for families. They have a lot of activities for the children. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Met one of the owners when we had a problem with the awning and he was very helpful and sent one of the workers over to help fix the problem. The sites are gravel but levels and clean. The whole park is clean and you will find no trash on the grounds at all because the owners and staff stop and pick it up. The site spaces are spacious and all the utilities work good. We had good Wi-Fi where we were located. - JR 108

Perfectly level site and long pull thru. Clean friendly highly recommend this park. - almost- there
Jun 2018 - $39.00
Not as green as some, the grass had a good portion of weeds. Our site, near the front (overnight spots??) had no shade, but other areas did. No dog areas. Park is pretty large with plenty of things to do for those staying longer and with children. TV was OTA, and spotty. - Sergent Major

Good spot to stop if late during the day and traveling through. We will use it again just to get off the road. Open sites that are very easy to get into. I wish more small towns would have sites like this for the passerby. - stetwood

This is a small but very friendly campground. The owner was very nice and helpful, he even helped us hook up our water and electric while we chatted. They are located on ATV trails (very beautiful) and have ATV rentals. Very nice campground would definitely camp again. - cathycamping

Very small city campground with lots of long term folks. All friendly. Pay for wifi. Cash or check in envelope at ay station for your site. I made reservations ahead of time and if you go I recommend that you do as well. We had the last spot. There is a golf course adjacent to park. - cchall112
Sep 2016 - $27.00
We have stayed here several times for one night; it is a convenient half way point on one of our usual trips.
The rates have gone up $2 a night since our last visit.
There are several open sites tonight but it is mid-week. All the sites that we drove by are reserved for this weekend.
We like this place. We will stay here again, I am sure. - skigramp
Jul 2015 - $22.00
This is a nice city operated campground. It's a few miles south and west of I94 and within easy driving distance of Eau Claire, about 30 minutes away. There are basically two sections of the campground. The older section consists of sites 1-21. These sites are grass camping spots with plenty of trees and a feeling of privacy. They are also water/electric only. Sites 22-42 are developed gravel campsites offering full hookups. There aren't as many trees, but a few of the sites look out over the upper portion of the lake. Many of the others border a big open grassy area that has a mown park-like feel. There are restroom/shower buildings in both sections of the park as well a big children's playground and two volleyball courts - these get a lot of use by the locals. Adjacent to the campground and, in fact, right next to several of the campsites in the older section of the campground is a nice nine-hole golf course. If a person likes to golf they can basically walk out of their camper and onto a fairway. My Verizon 4G worked well and since we were backed up to a wide open field I had no problem at all getting a satellite signal. Also worth mentioning is that the campground has excellent WiFi, a rare find in most any campground. - nazpaz
