Sep 2019 - $30.00
This state park has three camping loops. 100 reminded me of meadows. Not that many mature trees, but sites seemed to have room, which was nice. 200 loop looked like it was mostly for tents. We stayed in the 300 loop. Trees, trees, and more trees, which is what we love! Very private and room between sites. Dump station at 100 and 300 loop. You need to put water in your tank--water is NOT at the site. Note that all sites do NOT have electric, so make your reservations carefully. No pull-thrus in 300, but 100 had several. Very pretty park. The hike to the falls is pretty easy and the falls are very pretty. Several other trails, too. Price is $13/day for a day pass. $38 for annual. I thought the $13/day was a bit high, but the $38 was very reasonable for a year. We bought the annual pass since we were there for three night, but unfortunately I don't think we'll use it any more this year. They have a Nature Center that is open from 12 - 4 and a boat launch. We would stay here again. - PenguinPam
Sep 2018 - $30.00
The lake has been drained to replace the dam. It will remain drained for about two more years. I rated the campground "Excellent" based on the lake being returned. Two paved hiking trails plus others. A couple are very steep including one very high stair case trail. Beautiful waterfall with nearby rock climbing on some days. Permit required. - Kodiak Puller
Aug 2018 - $55.00
Just be aware: If you are not a Wisconsin citizen, you pay double. My site was electric only. It was nice, but $40 per night, plus a state park pass is $38 a year, or $13 a night. Nice park, but you could stay at a commercial park with full hookup for less. - MaggieAndMoe

Check-in went well. After separating the toad from the MH we were guided to our site. I received directions to Costco from the lady at the desk after setting up on the site. Our site had electric and water but no sewer hookup. Unfortunately, the RV park is being sold to be replaced by condominiums. - Toby's dad
Jun 2017 - $50.00
This is a very old KOA park with a name changed and it is closing soon to be developed into condo's. The owners are very rude and demanding. They claim to be big rig friendly, but the only long sites they have do not have sewer. All other sites require you disconnect you toad as the sites are too short and sewer connection is in the wrong place. Wifi is only available in the office. We wish we hadn't stayed, but had already paid. Read the rest of the reviews and don't stay here. - Jersey1580
Jun 2017 - $49.00
Big rig friendly with level sites. Laundry and showers were good. Wifi was only available at the office/shower building but was very fast. No dog park but large grassy field that was great for walking dog. Too bad this great campground is closing at the end of the season. - Fulltimersrv

Aug 2019 - $28.00
Beautiful park. Very spacious sites with plenty of room for rv and tow vehicle. Well maintained and restooms were very clean. There was a 7 dollar daily charge for your vehicle also. Lots of trails for hiking/biking. Lots of green grass and very well maintained. We camped in a travel trailer. We were in the area for a family event and the park was only 5 miles from family making it very convinent. We will definitely stay here again. - Sharlou
Sep 2018 - $27.00
We were gone from the site most of the time. The park is drop dead gorgeous. Ample spacing between sites. If you can handle moving your fireplace wood in a wheel barrow that would be good (they don't appear to deliver to your site). You can fill your water tank with potable water at the pump out area. - Cory S
Aug 2018 - $41.00
This is one of the few RV parks on the east side of Minneapolis/St. Paul and it is convenient to the Minnesota State Capitol Museum and other museums. Sites are wide, long, unlevel and expensive ($7 more a day for the toad without an Iowa State Parks pass). While we were there our site (14) and two other sites had reoccurring low voltage on one phase of the electric service. (It was hot, in the 90's but the CG was less than 30% occupied when we were there.) The park is large and lovely; Verizon service was good and there were some OTA television channels but we will not stay there again. - Mom_of_Two

Sep 2014 - $60.00
It’s surprising that this campground has not been previously reviewed. It’s a backpack-in campground with 2 Yurts and four, electric with heat camper cabins. The hiking along the St. Croix River was so beautiful in the fall. People at the beach were in swimsuits and dipped their toes in the river. Temperatures in 80’s in late September brought out crowds for day hikes and picnics. The prairie grass and leaves were very colorful. We couldn’t believe how much noise that dry, falling leaves sound when they hit the ground. There are plenty of hiking and biking opportunities at this campground. Flush toilets are available in the visitor center or vault toilets throughout the campground. Note that there are no showers or ice available for purchase. The closest city is Afton, however the address lists Hastings on the website. We stayed in a camping cabin and will return. - brendajoro

Aug 2019 - $20.00
Nice little park, campground host was very accommodating. No fire pits, and only one shower, but overall a great stop. Disc golf, awesome baseball/softball facilities on site, bike trails, nice little downtown within a mile. Very good deal! - AndyW
Jul 2019 - $20.00
4 stars all around since they didn’t have water or sewer anywhere close to the sites. Beautiful area, quaint town and very family friendly. We stayed for 6 nights and would recommend it to anyone. We also didn’t have a 50 amp so we blew breakers a few times. Access to a number of beautiful parks for children, frisbee golf and we got to watch a baseball game for free. Fill fresh water and dump your tanks before you set up. - Wheeling To Dream
Aug 2018 - $20.00
This small city park is first come first serve and was almost full when we arrived. Apparently they are usually full during the summer, so we were happy to have snagged a spot. Roads and sites are paved with grass and a picnic table. The children's play area is very close as is the ball field. The dump station is on the way in/out, but it does not have potable water. There is a spigot and hose over by the play area that is for potable water in the tanks. Other reviewers are correct, the power poles were clearly put in by non-campers, or someone who didn't want to spend much $$. We had to park way to one side of the asphalt to get our cord to reach.... Price has gone up to $20. The host was very friendly and helpful. Mostly quiet, but there was road noise from the nearby highway. - ALbums

We have a 5th wheel and a few of the spots are not very level. But most of the pull through site are level and have mature trees. Nice trails. Carpenter's Nature Reserve is right Dow the road. Went and got some apples and went for a walk saw 2 Bald Eagles and their best.
River still very high there is a no wake sign as you pull into the Park. - Mike and Terri
Sep 2019 - $51.00
This is a county regional park and it is beautiful. Only 20 minutes from the suburbs of St. Paul, MN, it is in a wooded area on the bluffs of the St. Croix River. There are multiple playgrounds, shelters for get-togethers, and a large camping area. Sites can handle long motorhomes with toads. Navigation of roads is easy. There are two rotating camp hosts. You will have no idea that you are close to a metropolitan area. Within a 10 minute drive, you will find a Walmart, Menards, Starbucks, Caribou Coffee, restaurants and grocery stores. Mpls-St. Paul offer numerous activities including Mall of America, Guthrie Theatre, shopping, etc. - RV Sailor
Aug 2019 - $35.00
This was our 4th stay at St Croix Bluff Regional Park Campground in the past 5 years. We return whenever we visit the Twin Cities and want to camp SE of the metro area and close to the St Croix River. The park is both big and beautiful and facilitates most traditional outdoor activities (e.g., swimming, fishing, hiking, biking, bird watching, tennis, etc.). On weekends locals flood the park to make use of its campground and picnic areas. The CG is a mix of electric-only and non-electric sites. One dump-station is located at the entrance to the CG. Pros: Attractive setting with spacious campsites and immaculate restroom/shower facilities. Cons: Our cell service was non-existent, dense tree cover offered shade but prevented access for satellite TV; and the mosquitoes were voracious. NOTE: Park staff strictly enforce a NO-PET policy in the CG. - Kona Boy

Jul 2016 - $30.00
The campground was wonderful. Private and heavily wooded. A few of the sites are a bit hilly and difficult to back into with a long motorhome but doable. Seems that the Savanna side seems newer and sites are a bit more spaced apart than the Riverside camping area. Fabulous campground but the showers are in serious need of ventilation, painting and deep cleaning- preferably with bleach! Black mold and looks like green algae growing on the walls in the showers. - NanciRV

We love this place. Camp there every year. Lake Alice is a great place to swim and the trails are just perfect for new bikers. You can feed the sunnies in the swim area too and our grandkids love that. - Mobes
Apr 2016 - $31.00
We stayed for one night in mid-April, a very early start with the early warm weather this spring. Because the trees have not yet leafed out, the park seemed sparse and there was little to no privacy between the sites. It would be better once the leaves come out. Even so, the sites in the Riverway Campground (the one close to the St. Croix river) were all quite close together. Our site was very level and most of the sites looked fairly level. The pit toilets were open and were adequate, but water was not yet on and the plumbed facilities were not open at all - nor was the dumping station so beware if you camp before they open or after they close for the season (and use the pit toilets unless you know where to find a dump station). The proximity to the river was very nice, although it was not much visible from the camp sites. There is a nice but very flat walk path along the river. Great for kids or anyone with limited mobility (not paved for wheelchairs). It is mostly around wetlands and open prairie land so easy/flat but some of the trails are a bit more hilly. The views there are lovely but not awe-inspiring. You will see some beavers' lodges. In that area there is also a lake with a large swimming beach and a large fishing pier. There is ample group camping and group picnic areas so it's very flexible space and useful for any kind of group (suggest checking on reservations). MN is going to all reservations for campsites as of 2016 so don't count on any walk-in sites being available - always reserve online or call ahead for last-minute visits. - MNroadie

Wonderfully quiet. Very accommodating staff. Great place for individual camping as well as small to large groups including family reunions, business retreats, specialty camps, crafting organizations, etc. Close to outdoor recreation area & golf courses. Nice walking paths, recreation fields, small lake with water slide, full sized gymnasium, meeting rooms of all sizes. Generously sized grass RV sites with shade &/or sun. Dorm/hotel type facility stays require bringing your own bedding. Numerous restroom areas are kept clean and well supplied. Off the freeway system, but a peaceful drive through the country gets you privacy and solitude. We camp here quite often. - church choir
