Jul 2019 - $80.00
Camped here over a weekend. It was a busy time near OshKosh for the air show and rock festivals. At the last minute, this was the nearest campground and all we could find. The office was quite accommodating in helping locate spots for my family to camp. We were placed down by the lake. As you can imagine in July in Wisconsin, the mosquitoes were as large as birds, but we knew that going in. There were plenty of activities for our family and my kids had a blast. Waterslide, fishing, and the pool were all big hits. Our site was right on a channel near the lake, so mud was a problem in the rain, but overall the site was level and large enough to give us space. My parents however, had a very unlevel site away from the water, but fewer bugs to go with it. It was a weekend and the entire campground was full. Despite this, the facilities I thought were clean and everyone was very nice. We did not use wifi. My only complaint is the cost of our site. $80 /night seemed to be expensive, but there was a lot to do. If you plan to sit around a campfire and do nothing else, not sure this is your place. If you have kids who want to run around, swim, fish, etc., it is probably worth it. I would stay again for a long family weekend. - mm1407

This campground, has over the past few years, become a joke, under the leadership of the manager, who is by no means a manager of any sort. This park has more things unrepaired and broken than not. The pool heater does not work, we have seen sewage leaking up through a manhole cover by the swamp, no security to speak of, thefts are a common place thing here, it is really a horrible place. Which is sad, it used to be such a nice park, took a turn for the worse when the current manager started. The park is unsafe with no security or gate at all, anyone can come and go at anytime of the day or night, no questions asked. Roads are total crap, noting but potholes, no upkeep of any kind here. Do yourself a favor, drive right past this place and go elsewhere, anywhere but here. - Stay-Away-from yogi
Jul 2018 - $50.00
The information is a little misleading. The park is 30 amp and no sewer. A few sporadic sites are long term or permanent folks with higher amp and sewer. The sites were level and there were several with no trees which was great. No cable and you could purchase WiFi. Not at all what I expected. The biggest issue was the amount of duck feces all around the grounds including our picnic tables, the play area and all around the site. It was not pleasant at all. - Lucy and Ethel5w

Very nice park...quiet even when the park was full.Staff was helpful and professional. Bathrooms and showers very clean.Sites were large .No water but has electric. Only downside for some is there is a active train tracks near by,and a busy highway. For us no problem. We camped in our 5th wheel. And plan to make this park one of our favorites. - Msneuby
Oct 2016 - $25.00
We spent a weekend at Lake Emily County Park in October of 2016. The restrooms were clean and the campground is well maintained.
The location is great Very close to Stevens Point, Amherst Junction and Amherst.
The only downside is that the campground is near a busy freight train rail line and a four lane highway. If you stay here expect noise from each. - Jim Kruzitski
Jun 2009 - $18.00
We stay here when we are going to the agility trials at Camp Bandy. We never have had any problems with the sites, bathrooms are clean and we have always had hot water. Sites are big/roomy. People are friendly. Although no water hook ups there is water available to fill up your water tank and there is a dump station. We will be staying here again. - myztique

Aug 2019 - $45.00
My wife and I stayed here for the weekend and chose one of the sites that offered a view of the water.
The site that we chose, site 48, was extremely tight and very close to the neighboring campers. So close in fact that if I were to have walked outside our camper and passed gas, the camper next to us would have heard it INSIDE their camper. While we understand that at many campgrounds you’re close to one another, this one was to the point that we felt a bit uncomfortable (at times) as you could easily hear any conversations.
Overall, for a weekend this is a nice campground, especially if you have kids. The swimming pool was nice, there is a video game room, playground and more. - CSRVLIFE
May 2019 - $51.00
We picked a full hook up premium site, it was 30 amp but don't really know what was so premium. Next to us had concrete pad like us but they had a deck and nice fire pit. The fire pits are way to small and we counted 5 dead trees over or near us. It's a packed campground and hard to maneuver with not much room for your vehicle to park. Needed extension sewer hose to use sewer. One couple came in at 9 pm and we had no idea how he would back in his trailer, one camper offered to move his vehicle but no one else. I don't know how non holiday weekends are but this was just to cramped for us. If you go on holiday weekend get there at 2pm for checking in, it will be hard to maneuver with so many vehicles right at the edge of the roads. The owners are nice but make sure you are quiet at 11pm, we were told at check in and it's enforced. Take a cruise on the chain-o-lakes at clear water harbor. It was so nice and relaxing! - tammiann61
Jul 2014 - $37.00
The positive first: - Very beautiful site, we had #127 in a corner with beautiful trees surrounding a porch deck and further down a fire pit area in the grass. So two levels and very private. Quiet and very little traffic. Pool clean and looked new. Store open with a decent selection of products. Very nice owners, helped us with packages and letters. Toilets clean. Power stable.10 minute ride to Waupaca. Very good Verizon coverage. Extremely beautiful area and campground. Not a field but wooded small hills. Pool was in the mid eighties when we were there. Then the negative: - Absolutely no Wi-Fi so we had to spend 100 dollars to Verizon for the three weeks. Parking is hard since sites are pretty small. We parked under a pine tree that dropped some sap, to be expected but a thought, you have to be on your toes to navigate a big rig through. So to summarize, a hidden gem in Wisconsin in a very beautiful area and with caring and friendly owners on location that helps you with whatever you ask for. Try it out! We planned to stay a week but extended it to three. However our only wish for the future is Wi-Fi. Today as important as water and electricity for us fulltimers. - BasilFawlty

Private Campground on full wake lake. Some small sites, some are large, as well as some lake view sites. $38 cost includes water, electric and air conditioning fee. Electric boxes and water poles in some sites are located in weird spots, so you may need extra cords and hoses. Playground, putt-putt golf, volleyball court, baseball field and large field located on site. Campground has a store with ice cream and restaurant/bar with tiki bar onsite. Bar has bands on many weekends. Lake has a dock with peddle boat and kayak rentals. Lake is very shallow and great for swimming. Boat landing down the street. Beach is within walking distance to all sites. - 5thatdrive

Aug 2017 - $33.00
33/night for 50 amp, no water, no sewer; plus 9.95 transaction fee. Our first site (69), although advertised as long enough for our 42' fifth wheel, was impossible to get into. The site had trees on either side of the site opening, as well as trees on the opposite side of the road. We could not make the back-in turn to get into the site. As it was late at night, we had to find a place to huddle down for the night until we could talk to the rangers the next day. They were very helpful and put us into site 87, which allowed for us to back in.
The interior road was narrow and lined with trees that went up to and even extended over the pavement at times. We did manage to get through the interior roads, but would not choose to go through them again if we didn't have to. The sites are very private, with trees in between sites. The park was beautiful and quiet. $33/night for electric only is a bit steep in my opinion. If you have a big rig, definitely call the ranger station to get advice on which site to reserve. The website is not detailed enough to take into account the large amount of trees that will hamper the back in. - RVerFamily

Overall a very nice park. I highly recommend this place. Campsites are huge and private. The swimming lake is great as well as fishing and biking trails. - Jroget

Jul 2018 - $50.00
Price was a bit high, but after you're inside ... maybe not. Spacious, private sites for most, shady well kept grounds. Horse back riding available. We opted for the FHU, but for $35 you can get elec/wtr and a free dump. In heavy rains you may not want to enter. Dirt road and dirt sites, but level and grass-sided. Long dirt entry road that gets pretty narrow if you meet an opposing unit. But it's doable. Would like to return when we have more time. - Nevada Nick
Jul 2018 - $35.00
Stayed here on July 1 - we just needed a 1 night stop on our way to UP Michigan. Most places required a 2-night minimum, but this park did not. Glad we stayed here. The horse corral was beautiful. The road into the park is around 0.75 miles of sand/gravel combo, so if you aren't comfortable with that driving surface then proceed with caution. The sites were level, shady, and spacious. Park wasn't crowded, even near July 4th, and several sites appeared to have seasonal occupants. We were very happy with this park, and wished we had more than one night here. Horseback riding is available as well. Showers and bathrooms were very clean, and the owner was very helpful and pleasant. Dump station was clean and easily accessible. - Kentucky Campers
Jun 2017 - $35.00
We spent a weekend here. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will absolutely return! Large sites have a park-like look to them. Some more private than others, but they are all very large. Owner delivers your wood to your campsite! Nice play area if you have little people along with you. You can take an hour ride and then have him cook you a steak that is done to perfection! Clean showers and restrooms as well. The group fire pit is a great place to hear stories from the owner and the his seasonal guests. Had a great time! Definitely a good find! - sssccckkk1952

This is probably the most beautifully landscaped park I've ever stayed in. Huge expanses of lawn, large sites, mature trees, manicured gardens. Fronts on a cornfield. I just needed a quick overnight but stayed to use the excellent laundry facility the next morning. I didn't try the wifi, so I can't comment on it. My Verizon service was marginal; I could make calls and do simple (slow!) internet browsing with my phone, but not enough oomph to set up a hotspot. Everyone I spoke with was friendly and helpful. And, yes, as they say on the website, it is quiet! - Doncooke
Sep 2018 - $1.00
Fountain Lake RV Park is a membership lease ownership park near Almond Wisconsin. We had the advantage of following our friends who owned the lot to their park so they knew the best way, including a great truck stop for a break.
Although we were able to navigate the narrow roads, I really wouldn't call it big rig friendly. Following them helped here too as they knew to tell us to swing wide and what to avoid during and after the turns. The roads were gravel as was our site with a concrete patio. The hookups were convenient and we had a great line of sight for our roof mounted satellite dish. - Bob & Jo
Sep 2018 - $28.00
This is a gem located in the countryside between Waupaca and Almond. Very quiet, peaceful and beautifully landscaped park. This is more suited to adults as its summer residents are mostly retired and live here in the summer. - good life

We arrived after lunch on Sunday afternoon. Big mistake. The park was overrun with poorly parked vehicles everywhere! However, by early evening the campground was empty and all of the locals had gone home. We had a river side site. It was wonderful. We returned in August 2018 mid week. Again, delightful mid week. Do not book a site for the weekend. Mid week is perfection! - TallDodd
Jul 2010 - $38.00
Just got back from Wolf River CG and had a good time. It was nice to tube the long river trip, which has been doable for the last 4-5 years. What wasn't nice was all the flies and mosquitoes that come with the rain. We had a river front site, which allowed the girls to play right behind the camper. The site was very spongy because of the rain, but level. I would give them a 10 if they got rid of the coin showers. - Trevor01
Jul 2010 - $30.00
This is a local DESTINATION; lots of people all the time, hundreds per day to do tubing on the river. Pull through sites are not really pull through, as in you must BACK OUT of the site; you cannot pull all the way through if all spaces are taken and then only shorter unit can pull through as the land is a steep slope down. Yes, this is confusing as are the hookups; you must pull strait in so that the utilities are on the left and you then must back out. If you back in the utilities are on wrong side. Showers are somewhat clean if you use the ones AWAY from the day use area. NOTE: I have been to two hog callings and a turkey shoot and never seen COIN OPERATED SHOWERS, but that is what you have here. Dump station is hard to get to. Lots of cars parked around it as this place is full of day use people everyday. Potable water is good. - CCC

We stayed at site 7, bathrooms are very old. Road is smooth but very tight curves. 34 ft camper was difficult to navigate through. Some sites too tight for slide outs with the trees. - cindyds1961
Jun 2017 - $23.00
This is a town/county park just outside Steven's Point, Wisconsin. It is much like a state park, long on beauty and nature but short on amenities (no sewer at your site). The site parking is gravel/sand but surrounded by trees and separated from other campers. The roads were twisty and could have used some tree trimming because we have a large motorhome. - mountainfan
Jul 2013 - $22.00
For us, this was the perfect campground. The sites are large, level, and secluded. Lots of mature trees surround each site (you can see the other sites near you, but you have 75' of woods between most sites). There are several "double" sites (like sites 2&3 and 14&15) which are great for two units wanting to be together. There is one pull-through (site 11). Nice walking trails (down past the dam, up past the boat launch to the 3 walk-in site area). Exceptionally friendly campground host, gave us great tips and sold us excellent firewood ($5/ 1/2 wagon load). Picnic tables & fire rings for each campsite. (Site 12 has the ring on the wrong side though). Park manager walks the loop frequently. No excessive noise or inappropriate behavior during our 3-day stay here. Good electricity (no water). Single dump station. Decent cell phone coverage (Verizon and AT&T and TrackPhone). For us, this was a very nice place to relax while doing activities in Stevens Point. We'll stay here again without a doubt! (PS- we're the kind of campers that like state parks, ACOE campgrounds, etc - we tend to avoid KOA and private parks) - AndersonFamily

My husband, grandchildren, and I camped here to attend a family birthday party in Appleton, and no other camping options were available. The campground was clean enough, and the campsites were level and quite nice, lots of mature trees. However, the seasonal units, for the most part, were very run-down and depressing to look at. There were two canals running through the campground, both of which were green and scummy, as was the swimming pond. We did not find the other campers, nor the owner, to be particularly friendly. I would not recommend this campground and do not plan to return. - TrixieBelle559
