Overall Rating:

This is a very nice campground; a very nice over-priced campground. When you approach the CG on WI-59, it looks like a golf course. Then you turn into the CG onto a gravel road, so the golf course impression goes away. The CG was originally known as Hidden Valley, which is an apt description. The sites are in a valley and not visible from the highway. This is a very large property and half the sites are seasonal, many park models, but they are separated from the transient population. The interior roads are one-way gravel and easy to navigate. There is an area of paved road that serves as drainage control. They have a severe V-shape so stay in the middle. The check-in staff was friendly and helpful, but they do not take you to your site. The sites are well marked and easy to find. Because of the valley terrain, the sites are terraced and are quite level. The pads are gravel with a gravel patio. There are some concrete pads at sites 192-198. There is a nice grassy area between the sites and is of adequate size, with many trees. There is some highway noise from nearby I-90, but the yapping dog in the unit next to us was more of an irritant. The utility hook-ups are well place in the middle of the pad. The water pressure was about 60psi and the voltage a solid 120v. There is no cable, but the proximity to Madison allows for good antenna reception, but it is just broadcast TV. I did not use the Wi-Fi. The daily site rate is an outrageous $75.71. They do have a lot of activities, which is fine for those who stay on the grounds, but I just needed a place to stay for a couple of nights. For $75 I would expect to be taken to my paved site on a paved road, and have cable TV. Would I stay here again? Probably. I have a reason to be in the area once a year, and the options are limited. They do provide pleasant surroundings. I gave the CG a high rating based on the physical property, not the cost. We camped at Milton KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is little to do or see outside the CG, except for Chilimania, the biggest chili cookoff in the Midwest, held the Saturday after Labor Day in nearby Edgerton. If you are a boater, the CG is close to Lake Koshkonong.

They offer free reasonable good WiFi, lots of good HD reception on the antenna. If you don't run your AC you can hear the Interstate, but no train!. A beautiful warm pool and a hot tub. The park is very well maintained but expensive. Our site was a pull thru, but not level at all. Some are better, so watch when you pull in. The sites are close together and narrow but long. You can chose a site on gravel or paved, the last is even more expensive, they provide a table and a fire pit. Great office and you even get a homemade cookie when you check in. A first for us. When you leave the park they have a crazy concrete road to drive on (v-shaped for getting rid of water). We camped at Milton KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is a bit expensive, but you get what you pay for. Grounds are immaculate, and so is the pool. Sewer has a threaded pipe for secure connection. Staff is great and accommodating! We upgraded to the paved site which is a bit more expensive but well worth it. We were there during the week which was not crowded, but were told weekends are. Plenty of activities for everyone and adult swim from 3-4 is nice! Highly recommend this campground! We camped at Milton KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed at the Hidden Valley Campground several years ago. We decided to schedule another trip this weekend because the park, albeit expensive, is well maintained. Unfortunately, expected thunderstorms are preventing our trip. I looked at the confirmation email and it states clearly that KOA policy is 48 cancellation to forfeit $10 instead of the entire deposit. Milton Family Campground policy hidden in the fine print states a 7 day cancellation. Stay at this campground at your own risk. Will never recommend and stay here again. Lots of amenities for families: swimming, entertainment, laster tag, fast food, toys, camping supplies. The shower was impeccably clean -- possibly because I got there just after they had cleaned up for the night. Our site on the hilltop was exposed to highway noise from the distance. I suspect sites down the hill are better protected from noise. We had to adjust the position of our RV a couple of times to level it out. A very clean campground. What a nice improvement!! We've stayed several times at this campground. The change to a KOA has done wonders. It is clean, green, well run, and we loved the food delivery right to our coach!! BIG RIGS NOTE: Easy getting in, not so much getting out. Maybe I did it wrong? The exit winds you through a neighborhood of park models with tight turns? Maybe ask about it at check in. Anyway, we'll absolutely be back! (Ask for one of the premium sites-but bring extra sewer hose and 50 amp extension cord if site 198.) We camped at Milton KOA in a Motorhome.

This is an outstanding park. Beautiful grounds, level sites, great staff. It is a resort like setting and there are many permanent park models but all are well maintained. The office, store and cafe are a nice feature and the menu of "fast food" is very diverse. The pizza we had was not great but good. We stopped here because our other choice for overnight was muddy and we're glad we stopped at the Milton KOA. We camped at Milton KOA in a Motorhome.

It's a beautiful park with 50'wide spaces over by the woods where we stayed. Looks like hard packed decomposed granite roads and pads. Picnic tables, green grass and NO sprinklers hitting coach. Only reason I didn't give a 10 is I like concrete pads but the gravel wasn't bad- pretty nice in fact. Great cafe with ice cream, burgers nachos, pizza cheese curds (never had before). Got to see fireflies for my first time! Super friendly staff! Would come here again! We camped at Milton KOA in a Motorhome.

Very large park, which includes some "seasonal" spots with both trailers and park models perm setup. Our site was away from all of that, NO specified dog area, but plenty of grass. One of the "rules" was that dogs should not be permitted to bark, at all - NO BARKING. Plenty of room between sites. We could here the highway, but not an issue. We camped at Milton KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a huge park with a number of park models, seasonal and RV and tent sites. It is well arranged so the RV sites and park models are well seperated. The sites are really close together in the full hook up area. If asking for a pull through specify if level site is important as some of them are extremely hilly. Concrete pad sites are available at additional price and it is so not worth it. Seem to have lots for kids to do, pool, spa, baseball field and activities on weekends. It is very well maintained. For us it was great for an overnight but was overpriced and sites while long enough, are not wide enough. Driving out with a big rig was difficult maneuvering through the narrow park model roads. The exit roads are really narrow too and they would do well to widen them. We camped at Milton KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a large park and well maintained. We had a pull thru site and it had a picnic table though it was on a slight incline, so it wasn't terribly useful. We were only there for one night so it wasn't an issue with us. The sites are plenty long, but slightly narrow. The office/store people are friendly. If you're into candy, the store seemed to have an enormous variety of candies. The showers were large and clean. We actually stayed here on our way back from Northern Wisconsin too, but only for another single night. I'd stay there again. We camped at Milton KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This review is based on the fact they charge $65 per night for a campsite and when paying that much you expect premium services. We were unable to back into our site due to the steep hill without grounding out. We were able to cut across the grass and finally make it in. The sewer connections are located in the very back and we were not able to reach them with our dump valves located on the center of our rig. The sites in the new section are spacious for a KOA and nicer then the rest in the park. Pool is way undersized and was over capacity. No cable at that sites (for what they charge). The staff was not the most friendliest, a bit rude and disorganized. Its gravel through out and was a bit dusty some of the roads could use a little grading. We were there on a Halloween weekend which they have 5 of and it was a bit rowdy. Loud music, drunk golf cart drivers, golf cart parades with horns honking. It was a big party and I was expecting it but most of the KOA's I have been to seem not to cater to this type of crowd. They have lots of seasonal sites, the grounds are well kept and there is some open space but at $65 a night I might look some place else and do not think I would return. If passing thru on a weekday and the rate does not bother you it would be a good stopover. We camped at Milton KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Just stayed here for the night and this is a more family/kids oriented park than transient so if you have family camping plans, you'll probably like it more than I did. With the park relatively empty on a weekday, we got slotted in the back of the park in a back in site that bottomed out my motorcycle carrier as we tried to back in. Leveling was also a challenge but we finally found the "right" spot. Facilities were great and spotless wifi was surprisingly weak given the size of the campground and lack of tenants. I would not spend the $$ to come here again unless I were looking for a kids oriented stay. We camped at Milton KOA in a Motorhome.

Arrived on a Sunday afternoon - no wait to check in. We have a KOA membership, but the staff had a better deal for us - a free night instead of the 10% discount with our 5-night stay. We have been here many times in the past few years, and will return. Nice pool, playground, ball pit, skate park, laser tag, trails... lots for kids to do. Only problem was for us country folk who are not used to "traffic circles - round-abouts" - it was confusing to get to Hwy 59 off I-39. We discovered a much easier route by exiting at Janesville and going up through Milton on John Paul Road and out to the campground. Our GoogleMaps app guided us out that way with no problems. We camped at Milton KOA in a Travel Trailer.
