This is a wonderful campground out in the middle of nowhere. No tv. Right on the river and you can rent tubes, canoes and kayaks and they will take you to the river and pick you up. Great places to walk your dog. No laundry. Nice little bar and restaurant to relax at the end of the day. No laundry. - mary mcmoo
Jul 2016 - $40.00
Eleven (11) days at this lovely campground were PERFECT. It is clean, adult friendly, quiet, large sites, fire rings, beautiful views, large trees! We love that it is dark at night and not lit with street lights; a true feeling of camping!
There is a bar and grille with a limited menu that is home-cooked and enough of a variety for those of us who delighted in not having to cook it ourselves. Pizza and great hamburgers were delicious.
Tubing, kayaking, and canoeing are all a part of this experience. This couple are welcoming hosts, assuring a delightful vacation. We highly recommend this one and can't wait to return. - Beachma
May 2016 - $37.00
The sites are in both shade and sun. Sites are fairly level and large. The hookups are in the proper spot and in good working order. I thought the cost was too high for the grass site. - illini777

We absolutely love this no frills campground. Very well maintained, friendly owners and camp host, large, level, open sites with picnic tables and fire pits (free firewood too). 50/30 amp. Dog friendly. Satellite and cell service were great. Wi-fi at the office (maybe elsewhere too, but we didn't need it). Easy in and out from Hwy 63. 5 min to downtown Hayward. Cash or check only - no website, but we had no problem reaching the park by phone and making as well as changing our reservation. We were here visiting family and sightseeing in the area. We felt quite comfortable leaving our things (Grill, bikes, chairs) and being gone for the day. - War_Eagle
Aug 2019 - $38.00
This is an update on the CG. Very nice quite CG Sites are large 50 AMP, all service connection work as designed. The entire CG is grass, and the grass was well maintained, surface was solid enough to support our 45 foot MH. All connections are centered on side of site. Would definitely return when in the area. Staff in park was pleasant and helpful. - Lance Journey
Aug 2013 - $30.00
Owners of this campground are elderly and have decided not to advertise due to health reasons. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. She gave us several brochures and flyers on attractions in Hayward. You need to be self-contained to camp here since there are no bathrooms or showers. It’s an open field right off Rte 63 in Hayward. The sites are all grassy pull-thrus with plenty of room between sites. Each site has 50 amp, water and sewer. There’s a picnic table and fire pit on each site. There is no Wi-Fi or cable. Our satellite reception was great. The campground is clean with little traffic noise. This is a nice campground with no frills, just bare minimums. While here, we canoed the Namekagon River and hiked the Trego Nature Trail. We would definitely stay here again if passing through. - Roger & Mag

We spent 3 nights with family in 2 campers on adjoining sites. Very accommodating during the reservation process. Nice, relatively level site. Plenty of room and an easily accessible dump station. - Nomad2004

Very nice campground in the forest. Lots of trees and shade. We had a very large site, just a 2 minute walk to the water. Lots of seasonals but the sites were well kept and the people were friendly. - msmatch

nice and quiet little campground. pipe is elevated which makes downhill drainage a little issue. - mike1960
Jun 2016 - $30.00
Very quiet park with long, wide, and level back-in full hookup sites. Water pressure was about 50 PSI. Grass was soft. WiFi was adequate. Sites 4 and 6 probably get the best signal. Antenna pulled in 6-8 stations. Boy Scouts offer firewood for sale on site. No fenced dog area, but plenty of space to walk your dog. Poo bags are provided at the self-registration kiosk. Reserve online. If you're within the 2-week reservation window, you have to call for a reservation. If you're an ATVer, this park is right along an ATV trail. Surprisingly it was not noisy. ATVs can be rented in the larger town of Hayward, about 30 min east. Minong is a small town, but it has the basics. - TH travelers
Jul 2013 - $25.00
Campground was established to provide access to the Wild River ATV trail. It has 10 back-in RV sites and 5 tent sites. Sites are level gravel. Self service registration. Some shade, but satellite TV still worked fine. Decent TV reception for Duluth stations. All new hookups that work perfectly. Great place for an overnight or longer while exploring the area. The Jack Links Beef Jerky factory is in town and the local store serves as the outlet. Bought a 10 pound bag of jerky for $40. We stayed here twice, once northbound and again on our way south. - glenthompson

Friendly hosts clean park and almost level grass pad. However, the park WiFi was a fantasy and no apparent effort to get it fixed. - cmbuck
Sep 2017 - $35.00
Their name says it all. We camped here for two nights while "on the road" and appreciated the very quiet, peaceful, near the woods location with full hookups. End of September, so only a couple of the seasonal residents were there. Quiet and peaceful. There is limited stuff for kids if that's a priority. There is no laundry, but the laundromat in town was very clean, reasonable and well equipped. Owners are very friendly and working hard on expanding and improving their facilities. WIFI isn't strong everywhere, but we had good signal and fast service at our site. We would definitely repeat if we're in the area. - camperkatie
Jul 2016 - $35.00
This park has a lot of good qualities. Things to do for kids, beer and ice available at the office, most sites are level, and there are sites with good shade. The park seems to cater to the seasonal campers, but they offer transient sites along with a bunkhouse with two sets of bunk beds, a microwave, TV, and fans for $40-50 a night. The owners seem to be friendly enough, but often seems to be more nosey than anything. I felt like someone was looking over my shoulder the entire time I stayed here. The one owner does a "friendly" check at night making his way around the campground on an atv. - I need a HumVee

What I liked about this park: Everything at the park was immaculately cared for: office, restrooms, landscaping, etc. The nicest people we've met in a long time stay at this park regularly. Management is always cleaning, fixing, and they always try to accommodate your needs if you ask. They have occasional potlucks and barbeques. UPS and Fedex deliver packages to the park. What you may not like about this park: No Wifi. However; our Verizon hotspots worked very well here. If that hadn't been the case we would have been thoroughly miserable. No cable TV. No USPS mail delivery. No laundry room. No pool. No playground. No place to ride a bike. No water view from the park. Streetlights shine through RV windows. Every Sunday afternoon expect to listen to a riding mower motor cutting the grass at every campsite in the park for about 90 minutes. After it finishes the string trimmers start up for another 30 minutes or so. You will feel very at home, just like back in the suburbs. The grass: Every parking spot has a strip of lawn. You are not allowed to set ANYTHING on this lawn, not even your mat to keep the dirt out of your RV. Expect to pay 25 cents for water at the restroom sink and shower. - Virginia Welch
Aug 2012 - $25.00
This park recently opened and everything was new and clean, but the owner has more work to do. We stayed here five days while visiting family and were the only people there. The 50 amp electric was good and the price was reasonable. We were able to get out with our satellite on the site behind the office. The sites were long and had picnic tables at each site. There are storage sheds for the seasonal campers. The only negative we found was the sewer pipe was a little too high. We would stay here again. - D&R

Park is focused on mostly weekend campers with small children. Lots for the littles to do. Packed in like sardines with too many trees. Makes it hard to get in and out of the sites. Recommend for family fun but not if you're looking for some quiet time. - 1Delikateflower
Aug 2018 - $60.00
This is a great place for families. There's a lot to do here. We are just a couple traveling through. The staff here is extremely accommodating and seem to love their jobs. The landscaping is so very nice! Be aware that these are extremely tight spots. They really pack them in on the weekends. There are about a million pine trees in this resort. No cable and antenna picked up only 2 channels of no interest to us. WiFi is spotty at best. There was no way we could hook up our satellite even though we tried. This is more of a forest park atmosphere which is relaxing but I think would get very muddy during a rain. Every spot has a fire ring. It's funny to see the fires burning brightly when it's almost 90 degrees and the kids are all huddled around the fire with their cell phones. - cmiller
Jul 2018 - $48.00
Dated looking but clean and well kept park. Very tight roads, and lots of pine trees to navigate when driving in and pulling into you spot. The trees often limit the width of your spot, so you may have to park carefully so you can get your slides out, and you might not have enough width to open your awning. Some sites are extremely close to others. Park is next to a busy highway, so expect some road noise. Lots of sand, dirt, and mud when it rains. Lots to do for your kids. Paved roads would make this park so much better. - tslarson

You have to go to the Lodge to check in which is as far away from the campground as you can get. The campground is down the road from the casino. The sites are in a very tree filled area making it very difficult to back in a big rig. The sites are not very wide making it a very tight fit with slides. The nightly price is very reasonable and the weekly rate of $45 is even better. But, with no satellite and the limited access and size of the site we had to cancel our reservation and find another campground. - Kate P
