Aug 2019 - $23.00
Wooded campsites on a small lake with E/W at or near all sites. Sites vary a lot as to size and level. The huge pull thru sites were in the heavy woods and occupied by seasonal long time campers. We had site 11 which was designated as holding several campers but there was a level area just big enough for our motorhome and we were next door to site 12 that had three trailers in a circle. There is a lot to do for kids with a beach area and lots of playground equipment and plenty of roads and trails for biking. Every one was very friendly and helpful. - Appleknocker
May 2019 - $23.00
Great campground for the price it was very quiet. - Kimmer04mae
May 2018 - $21.00
Originally stopped for one night on road trip but choose to stay a second night as it was a pleasant park to stay. While on the road we called to see if any sites available. Staff was courteous and assured us they had a site for us. Site 12 was a double site (as were sites next to us). Site did not have parking pad but was all grass making it so two camp units could share site easily even as two campers not traveling together.
Dump station was near entrance/exit also the self pay both and Ranger office. Host campsite across road from this both was available when help or directions were needed.
Would return again when traveling though this area. - Pathfinder75

Jul 2019 - $54.00
We stayed here over the July 4th week. Very crowded by July 3-4, but otherwise was pleasantly not too crowded for such a big resort. Our children loved the water features: giant water slide, lazy river, wave pool. We had site D15, and it’s a bit on lower ground, so the rain made it a bit muddy. However, that area of the campground was not too much of a walk to the water park and mini golf, so I recommend that section. I rated it such good value because we used it as a water park resort. If it was an overnight stop, just understand that everyone needs to have a bracelet, so it gets pricey. We did not rent a golf cart, and they were exceedingly expensive ($375 for a regular golf cart for our 5 days). Our site neighbors said that they used to stay at another park in the Dells, and it was much smaller, and they found that they needed to go off-site to find enough to do. They found this one in Warrens and have come back ever since.
Water park areas with lifeguards are heavily staffed, which gave us a lot of comfort. We would definitely stay here again, and will likely make it an annual trip. - MrsMath
Nov 2017 - $54.00
Ridiculously expensive for an overnight stay. There is an aged super pool complex that everyone has to pay for. They should have a different pricing system for overnighters. Convenient to the interstate. - Kean
Sep 2016 - $58.00
Nice park, but could use some gravel up to the concrete pads. It was a wet weekend with lots of mud. Park is very clean and lots to do during the summer with pools, and lots of activity for the kids. - rclake

Jun 2019 - $16.00
Rustic campground. Spacious campsites with plenty of trees and other vegetation between sites for privacy. Several sites were large enough for our trailer but access was difficult or impossible due to the many trees along the road. Only water available was from a hand pump. There is a lot of iron in the water. The water has a light honey color. The terrain is fairly flat in this forest. There was a lot of standing water in and around the campground so be prepared for mosquitoes. No electric anywhere in campground. - Duramax Camper
May 2015 - $12.00
Campground has no electric or sewer. No water at the sites but pumps located around the campground. No flush toilets or showers just vault toilets. Sandy beach at the small flowage. A neighboring site had been fishing there and catching some nice size bluegills. Able to navigate the road, with a 37 foot TT, pretty easily. We had a pull-through site with some low hanging branches that I had to be careful for. Campfire ring and picnic table on site. Firewood for sale, $3.00 for a rack full, at the contact station. Water and dump station about 12 miles away at the Black River State Forest headquarters building. We would stay here again. - Blu1e
May 2014 - $12.00
Very nice campground for dry camping. Has hand pumps for water and pit toilets. Fresh water, and dump station, also available at Castle Mound Campground about 10 miles away. Small pond here with a well maintained picnic area and newer playground equipment for the kids. Kids can also swim in the pond though no lifeguard. Hiking and biking trails at park as well. Firewood available that was dry and only $3 a rack. Some sites are reservable, Reserve America, and some are for walk ups. Was full when we were here Memorial Day weekend. Would definitely stay here again. - Blu1e

Very long, level, pull through gravel site with plenty of room. Full hookup with good power and water pressure. Owners were extremely friendly. Great place to overnight or spend a few days checking out the state park only a few miles away. Close to stores and supercenter. We will return if we travel this way again. - Bri Lin

Jun 2019 - $40.00
Don't come here with over a 35' camper. She said,"we've got plenty of room, no problem" Ours is 44', got stuck in the mud. 2 hour wait for wrecker. Turns too tight. Roads too narrow and no hard surface. She moved me to another site after wrecker left. It was 30 amp only! I just winged it with generator, left early. - DW1

We came here to see Ft. McCoy. Have back surgery coming up so we couldn't do any of the wonderful things there are to do up here. But I'm a veteran and I was interested in seeing the post. You need to go to the Visitors Center, show a photo ID and they'll do a background check on you right there. All the services are top knotch and well cared for. - DJanis
Jul 2017 - $30.00
I enjoyed staying here. A lake, numerous trails, playgrounds, fishing, putt putt golf, canoes and kayaks to rent, volleyball court and small store. We saw deer around the area a lot. The sites are spacious (we were on the other side of the lake and I felt they were bigger there). My only complaint was the little gnats that seemed to be everywhere. But that is not the campgrounds fault. Its nature. The cost was $30 for 5 days and $45.00 for two and Sundays are free unless it is a holiday weekend. - JulieLH
Jun 2017 - $50.00
This is an outstandingly clean and spacious park! Office people were very friendly and courteous. Spaces are spread out and easy to access. Only real issue we had was the $50 per night when there was no WiFi nor cable. Other was the live heavy artillery fire until midnight one of the two nights we spent there. It IS next to a Nat. Guard base and they do have to train. - Walt Bennett

Sep 2011 - $23.00
It took some time to find someone to check us in, but we were treated in a very friendly and helpful manner. We were led to a long, level, and grassy pull-through. Be careful of overhead trees. Our lot had a low branch for fifth wheels. The cable, 30 amp, and Verizon were all good. Showers were hot and very clean. There was no sewer or Wi-Fi signal on our lot. It is easy on and off the highway for a reasonable price. We would return. - Nana2
Aug 2011 - $23.00
Older campground off the interstate. Numerous full-timers, few sites for overnight guests. You may have to hunt for the campground manager. Level, grass pull-through sites, shaded or sunny, you choose. Side by side hook-ups (W/E-30amp) and cable TV. There was a frog in one of the ladies showers! - thetravelkids
Jul 2011 - $23.00
Nice mom and pop park for an overnight, just off I-90 down the road from a KOA. For the price it is a good value. Cable TV, WI-FI, grassy spots, very friendly staff very willing to help. - Tom51

Sep 2019 - $50.00
The park was located right next to the freeway, so it was convenient for an overnight stop. The pull through was nice and long, so we didn't have to unhook....and they had two different sewer connections for those of us who didn't want to unhook our tow vehicle. The roads were a bit dusty. The restrooms were VERY clean, but the showers were very small. - SewBzzzy
Aug 2019 - $52.00
Not bad if you like camping on the shoulder of an interstate. Incredible road noise and enough dust from the access roads to think you were in the Oklahoma dust bowl. - Dennison
Aug 2019 - $70.00
This is a clean, well maintained park. As others have said it's close to the freeway, but fortunately it's not on a hill, or a super busy exit so it's more of a constant din of traffic. Owners are very friendly and pick up garbage, deliver firewood. Our kids rented one of the cabins on the other side of the park and it was very cute. It "seems" they tended to put the campers with many kids on one side, and us oldsters on the other, which was nice. Lots for the grand kids to do. WIFI signal was okay, but as is usual no bandwidth during heavy usage times. - camperkatie

Aug 2010 - $12.00
This small State Park campground is fairly rustic with pit toilets, no showers, and the water supply is with a hand pump. The pluses are a great swimming pond with a white sand beach and bottom. The camp sites range from very shaded to mostly open, but they are spaced apart very nicely. The negatives are the campground is alongside a local highway which does have some traffic noise and there is a railroad crossing across from the swimming pond so you hear train whistles at all hours. But the best part of this campground was the staff of very caring state park employees who were extremely helpful and raised up the score a point or two. - wildcat63

The sites are smaller than I expected, but our 33 ft trailer fit fine. The sites are heavily wooded in a pine forest. - drharrold
Aug 2011 - $20.00
Reserved this for a 5 day stay for our anniversary. What a total disappointment! We stayed in site 5. The site was listed as a pull-through. It was a pull through, but it was totally backwards, as were many of the other pull through sites. The door faced the road while the picnic table and fire ring were on the back side. The mosquitos were very bad and spray only helped a little. The fire wood was cheap and self serve which is a plus. Wisconsin has many nice state parks. This is not one of them. We will not come back to this one. - msstella
Jun 2009 - $29.00
The fee includes a day park pass, and a camping site with electricity. We had the park entirely to ourselves. There is some traffic noise from I-94. It is a gorgeous location. We would stay here again. - User3761

Jun 2016 - $99.00
The park is close to interstate as stated but did not bother us, we had a great stay with a group of people. We have returned this was our 3rd trip and are returning again in August and September. Everyone keeps their atvs quiet and they are only allowed on one street basically. I will admit the yards could be better kept mowed and weeded but the price is great, people are friendly and it is a great location and my cabin has always been clean. We would recommend this to others, just not on our weekends haha ,we want our favorite cabin to ourselves. - patricias
May 2016 - $45.00
This park is a mobile home park with some campsites. Most sites are seasonal and the majority of them are in poor shape. All sites needed the grass cut, very long and full of weeds. Full hookup sites are narrow and need lots of attention. Campground is located near a popular ATV trail which means lots of ATVs at sites. Only the main road is paved, remaining roads create clouds of dust. Pool was open but did not use, looked older with very few chairs. We will not come back, there are other places to stay. - Sugar's Dad
Aug 2015 - $40.00
Not much good to say about this park. It is a mobile home park that offers RV sites. Also appears to be a lot of seasonal units there that folks lease the site for the summer and leave their RV on the site. All RV sites are within about 500 yards of the interstate and pretty noisy because of that. Sites are grass and or dirt. I wasn't able to log in to their wi-fi (I am no novice but not an expert at that.) I would not recommend this place unless you can't find another park. - bobinidaho
