Very very handy for exploring the city. Hank Aaron bicycle trail is adjacent to the campground. Parking lot is not very level. Utilities worked great. Park personnel are GREAT!!! We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Motorhome.

A large asphalt parking lot with full hookups. This park is primarily for attendees to fair events. Our site was on a slope but we were able to level the trailer (there are some sites that are fairly level). The sewer connections are too high. The internet is very slow but there is a good AT&T signal so we were able to use our hotspot. It is a good base to explore the city. We stay here for 4 days. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

A basic "no frills" park designed for attendees of fair grounds events and travelers. Great location to see the Milwaukee area. Staff friendly and helpful. Some of the sites are not very level. Sewer connections are elevated, angled and lack threaded connections: very inconvenient and insecure. Some fair events can be noisy so checking their event calendar is advisable if noise is a concern. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Motorhome.

We got stuck in the "overflow" lot, possibly due to error on part of the tour company with which we were traveling. Nevertheless, the site was terrible. Site was unlevel, cramped, gravel lot, and we were squeezed in among fairground trailers and temporary living quarters. Water and electricity was available. No cable or wifi. Would not stay here again. Would prefer a Wal Mart parking lot. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This is not a destination RV park, but its centrally located and well maintained. When visiting Milwaukee, this is a good choice. It's 20 minutes to the lake side and all that this area has to offer. The RV park itself is a basic asphalt parking lot. Utilities are set up so two units will share a yard area (you can back in if you prefer more privacy, but utilities will be on the wrong side). The staff was helpful and the little grass they had was well tended. The power was clean. The sewer connection, however, was raised so the hose did not drain without lifting....if you have pin hole leaks, you'll find them here. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit the Milwaukee Art Museum downtown. The Pavilion has a mobilized sunscreen that looks like wings. They rise up and then close (weather permitting) during the day. Also, we found the Pabst Mansion to be quite interesting. Note, your GPS may try to bring you into the fairgrounds via Greenfield. You must enter via Gate 8 on West Adler Street.

We stayed here for 2 weeks to visit family and friends. It is very convenient to get around as centrally located. We didn't use their showers or rest rooms so can't say anything about them. No fire rings or foliage, just a big parking lot, which we thought very expensive. Near the highway but no noise at all. Be careful when walking your dog on what little grass is avail as no one seems to pick up. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here one night to do a preseason checkout of our trailer. We had reserved a site and the people in the office had our paperwork ready and were friendly. This is not exactly a "park". It's a large, paved (asphalt) parking lot with many FHU sites. The layout of the hookups is a bit odd. We were in a back in site, so the hookups were on the driver side (good). The class A next to us, had to pull in because all the hookups were shared. They had the 50 amp service and we had the 30 amp service. The sewer connection is forward of the water and electric, so I needed several sewer hoses to reach. Also, the connection is 8-10 inches above the pavement which made it difficult for waste to flow (it doesn't go uphill!) This is an urban setting, right next to the highway, but the noise is not that bad. Don't arrive too early or leave too late. There is a $10 charge for early checkin or late checkout. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We use this just for the close proximity to Milwaukee when other place are full or closed. It is just a parking lot that was designed for RV/trailers. Open all year round and does have a storage lot across the street. Very little grass, no fire pits nor grills. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here for two nights when in Milwaukee for the Harley Davidson museum. Great location for accessing downtown Milwaukee museums, sports venues, etc. It's more of a large parking lot than a campground, that most people use for 1-2 day stopovers. We had a large FHU site right next to the office and laundry room, which was clean and well-kept. Good wifi signal and cell reception. Close to a highway, but the noise was not an issue for us. Staff were all friendly and helpful. We would return if in the area again. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park worked very well for us. Easy check -in, friendly staff. It's basically a big paved parking lot with hookups. Roomy sites. It's well lighted, you might want to keep your blackout shades closed at night. Security is good, we felt very safe here. Just make sure you pull into your site in the correct direction so the utilities are on the correct side. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Once again we were able to get in here for the final night of our summer trip. We had a tight FHU site that was tight, but manageable. The sewer hookups can be a problem because some are angled. The bathroom and laundry facilities are modern and clean. There are lots of OTA channels and most sites are satellite TV friendly. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Motorhome.

A great location to downtown but you're not going to get a rustic woodsy camping experience. If you know that going in you'll be fine. It's a large parking lot and spots are very close together. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed at this RV park to explore Milwaukee area. The park is asphalt surface with painted lines indicating site space. Our site was water & electric only. The sites were very narrow, barely enough space for our tow vehicle. The power and water connections were 2 sites over from ours. Fortunately, we had extra hoses. The laundry was adequate, but very busy. A camper across from us dumped their black water on the asphalt, we reported it and nothing was done about it, disgusting! Overall, it was a convenient place to explore the city. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

It's a large somewhat sloping asphalt parking lot with marked off sites. Sites are wide enough to park a vehicle beside the RV and have plenty of room. Long enough to be fully on the "pad" and not hang out. There is some slope to every site and our site, row F site 1 had a little but didn't require any boards under the tires. The coach leveling system easily leveled. Other sites observed required boards and we saw some tires "in the air". Utilities strangely designed. Sewer connections are at the back of the sites, are raised up a few to several inches and have the bayonet type fittings, the pin end. Unless you have a hose with the clip end on each end of the hose, you can't connect that way. Diameter too small to use a doughnut on the connection. Smooth end of my sewer 90 just stuck into pipe. System doesn't vent well and you will burp some "stuff" out. Our site we were able to run the hose downhill but others looked like having to run up hill. On some sites you have to decide whether you want to run the water/electric or your sewer under the RV. Electric power was good and steady. My water pressure regulator was set for 60 and that's what went to the coach. No trees so satellite will work. RV park wifi reasonably strong. Laundry clean and machines worked well. Didn't use shower but looked clean. Employees at desk seemed uninformed and unmotivated. Very overpriced for what you get but convenient to downtown. Southwest part of the park quieter as it is further from the roads and traffic lights. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at this park at least 7 times in the past. It is a great location. However it has gone downhill dramatically. The bathrooms are dirty. There are clothes all over the laundry counter. I assume left by someone? There are literally hundreds and hundreds of cigarette butts on the ground in the park. Our site had trash on it when we arrived. We just cannot believe how bad this RV park has become. We don't care how great the location is, we will not be back. We camped at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
