This park consists of primarily permanent sites, but has about 20 sites open for nightly use. It does not have a full-time staffed office, so the owners must be contacted by phone for check-in. There is no dump station and no sewer hookups, but staff will pump out holding tanks for a $10 fee. The owners were very friendly and helpful, as were many of the permanent residents. We would return if there was a need to stay close to Plover, WI. - mdtandem

We stayed at site 7, bathrooms are very old. Road is smooth but very tight curves. 34 ft camper was difficult to navigate through. Some sites too tight for slide outs with the trees. - cindyds1961

This is a town/county park just outside Steven's Point, Wisconsin. It is much like a state park, long on beauty and nature but short on amenities (no sewer at your site). The site parking is gravel/sand but surrounded by trees and separated from other campers. The roads were twisty and could have used some tree trimming because we have a large motorhome. - mountainfan
Jul 2013 - $22.00
For us, this was the perfect campground. The sites are large, level, and secluded. Lots of mature trees surround each site (you can see the other sites near you, but you have 75' of woods between most sites). There are several "double" sites (like sites 2&3 and 14&15) which are great for two units wanting to be together. There is one pull-through (site 11). Nice walking trails (down past the dam, up past the boat launch to the 3 walk-in site area). Exceptionally friendly campground host, gave us great tips and sold us excellent firewood ($5/ 1/2 wagon load). Picnic tables & fire rings for each campsite. (Site 12 has the ring on the wrong side though). Park manager walks the loop frequently. No excessive noise or inappropriate behavior during our 3-day stay here. Good electricity (no water). Single dump station. Decent cell phone coverage (Verizon and AT&T and TrackPhone). For us, this was a very nice place to relax while doing activities in Stevens Point. We'll stay here again without a doubt! (PS- we're the kind of campers that like state parks, ACOE campgrounds, etc - we tend to avoid KOA and private parks) - AndersonFamily

Wow $39 bucks for electric and water was hard for me to believe.
They don't even have a sewer hook up, cable or WiFi. It has easy access to I-39 and also that is all you can hear here. But I need a place to sleep over for one night and this area north is void of good RV parks.
The lady working in the store is very nice park seems well keep. The back part a long Wisconsin River is for people staying here full time if your passing thru you get to look a I-39. It is on the Wisconsin River. Has lots of stuff you can rent daily.
Read all the rules.
If we was passing this way again and needed a place to stop for a night it easy to get here. Just don't pay attention to your GPS after getting off interstate. - JustDon
Oct 2014 - $27.00
We got the winter rate for our stay. There are a lot of "permanent" campers/residents in the park. One small permanent camper was being relocated to the spot right next to us that is a long pull through spot! Since there is no sewer hook-ups at the sites, the permanent residents have tanks under their campers for sewage collection. This wasn't especially appealing! Overall the campground was good, a nice restaurant within walking distance too so we didn't have to disconnect. We would stay again but request a site down from the permanent camper! - Foxes
Aug 2014 - $37.00
Overall, good campground. The spots that were open were in open field with little to no shade. Water pressure was good, power consistent. Easy in out with pull thru sites. Don't expect to get a riverside site. Filled with seasonal campers. Lots for kids to do with peddle bikes and carts, jump pillow and swim pool. Bath house was clean but a little worn with paint peeling off. Didn't use the shower. Staff was friendly but not real knowledgable. No sewer hookups but they will send a honey Wagon by for $6 to pump you out. Their is a bar and grill on the north end of the campground but we did not stop at but we heard the food was good. A little road noise from the nearby freeway, and the campground is a bit of a challenge to get to via frontage roads. - JaycoJoanRick

Very nice park...quiet even when the park was full.Staff was helpful and professional. Bathrooms and showers very clean.Sites were large .No water but has electric. Only downside for some is there is a active train tracks near by,and a busy highway. For us no problem. We camped in our 5th wheel. And plan to make this park one of our favorites. - Msneuby
Oct 2016 - $25.00
We spent a weekend at Lake Emily County Park in October of 2016. The restrooms were clean and the campground is well maintained.
The location is great Very close to Stevens Point, Amherst Junction and Amherst.
The only downside is that the campground is near a busy freight train rail line and a four lane highway. If you stay here expect noise from each. - Jim Kruzitski
Jun 2009 - $18.00
We stay here when we are going to the agility trials at Camp Bandy. We never have had any problems with the sites, bathrooms are clean and we have always had hot water. Sites are big/roomy. People are friendly. Although no water hook ups there is water available to fill up your water tank and there is a dump station. We will be staying here again. - myztique

May 2016 - $1.00
We happened to stay with our local camp group during the park's Veterans Weekend for free. We were warmly greeted and efficiently checked-in. Our campsite was located in a large grassy, open area typically used by groups. Each site had 30/50A electric and a water hookup. Electric was stable and water pressure 45+. Site width was generous and you didn't feel you were camping on top of your neighbor. Wi-Fi was available but a bit finicky to connect to. Once connected it was reliable. A dump station is conveniently located for use on departure. The rest of the campground is mixed into the pine forest. The park is family friendly with a huge pond for swim and play, a rec room and a nice little ice-cream store. Prior comments about golf carts are true and it gets a bit dusty when the wind blows in your direction. It was unusual the park allowed youngsters to drive the carts around at night without any lights. At any rate, the open camping area worked great for our group and we'd come back again. - Born2Roam
Jul 2015 - $40.00
This is NOT a park for transients or for a weekend outing. Most of the spaces are "seasonal" or "permanent" (they are purchased and used by part-time residents). We were lucky to be able to reserve a site that was isolated and had a great amount of space, but we got to listen to the seasonal residents having their patio/garden parties each evening.
Golf carts abound in this park, and many are driven by children or teenagers. Each evening there is a "parade of carts" with residents continuously driving around the facility with wine glass or bottle or glass in one hand while driving (usually faster than the posted 10 MPH limit AND ignoring one-way streets) until after the sun sets.
Teenage staff at the office and around the facility; never once saw any sign of adult supervision of the sites or streets.
Don't consider a stopover or a weekend here. - grandflic

Jul 2018 - $50.00
Price was a bit high, but after you're inside ... maybe not. Spacious, private sites for most, shady well kept grounds. Horse back riding available. We opted for the FHU, but for $35 you can get elec/wtr and a free dump. In heavy rains you may not want to enter. Dirt road and dirt sites, but level and grass-sided. Long dirt entry road that gets pretty narrow if you meet an opposing unit. But it's doable. Would like to return when we have more time. - Nevada Nick
Jul 2018 - $35.00
Stayed here on July 1 - we just needed a 1 night stop on our way to UP Michigan. Most places required a 2-night minimum, but this park did not. Glad we stayed here. The horse corral was beautiful. The road into the park is around 0.75 miles of sand/gravel combo, so if you aren't comfortable with that driving surface then proceed with caution. The sites were level, shady, and spacious. Park wasn't crowded, even near July 4th, and several sites appeared to have seasonal occupants. We were very happy with this park, and wished we had more than one night here. Horseback riding is available as well. Showers and bathrooms were very clean, and the owner was very helpful and pleasant. Dump station was clean and easily accessible. - Kentucky Campers
Jun 2017 - $35.00
We spent a weekend here. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will absolutely return! Large sites have a park-like look to them. Some more private than others, but they are all very large. Owner delivers your wood to your campsite! Nice play area if you have little people along with you. You can take an hour ride and then have him cook you a steak that is done to perfection! Clean showers and restrooms as well. The group fire pit is a great place to hear stories from the owner and the his seasonal guests. Had a great time! Definitely a good find! - sssccckkk1952

Sep 2019 - $45.00
Beautiful park with a great view. Since school already started, very peaceful and quiet with few campers. The only thing that could be better would be adding some gravel or concrete for a pad. Campsites are all sand/dirt, but pretty level. - M D Tink Lucy
May 2019 - $50.00
Here for 2 nites on our way North. Located on Lake Du Bay (central Wisconsin on Wisconsin River), with 200 sites and 78 boat slips on the lake. Open year round. Our site (P/T) was F/H, some gravel and dirt, and heavy shade if the trees had leafed out. Was able to level, but some sites might be hard to level. There are MANY seasonal units thru-out campground. Most units are empty at this time of year (some slightly (?) run down). Overall, park looks unkempt. O/A Digital TV was very good with 12 clear channels. Very few sites good for satellite dishes, as many trees and pines. There is free Wi-Fi, but not given code when checked in. Plenty of standard and non-standard rules. (Children must be at camp-site by 10:30) Our site was $50/nite. Did get a Good Sam discount, but thought the cost was excessive for an empty campground. There are charges for everything. (50 AMP - $2, Pet -$2, early/late arrivals $2/hour, boat fee $7, but slip is additional $25. During the summer season, this could be a destination camp for regional campers, who would make use the lake/river. We would not return if not for our route back to Long Island. - Long Island Mac
Aug 2018 - $46.00
Old park that needs a lot of attention. Sites are small, tight and not level. Roads and sites are mostly dirt - dusty when dry and muddy when wet. Our site had the sewer drainage going up hill. Mostly full time residents. Not worth the cost. - 69 scotty

This is probably the most beautifully landscaped park I've ever stayed in. Huge expanses of lawn, large sites, mature trees, manicured gardens. Fronts on a cornfield. I just needed a quick overnight but stayed to use the excellent laundry facility the next morning. I didn't try the wifi, so I can't comment on it. My Verizon service was marginal; I could make calls and do simple (slow!) internet browsing with my phone, but not enough oomph to set up a hotspot. Everyone I spoke with was friendly and helpful. And, yes, as they say on the website, it is quiet! - Doncooke

Fountain Lake RV Park is a membership lease ownership park near Almond Wisconsin. We had the advantage of following our friends who owned the lot to their park so they knew the best way, including a great truck stop for a break.
Although we were able to navigate the narrow roads, I really wouldn't call it big rig friendly. Following them helped here too as they knew to tell us to swing wide and what to avoid during and after the turns. The roads were gravel as was our site with a concrete patio. The hookups were convenient and we had a great line of sight for our roof mounted satellite dish. - Bob & Jo

This is a gem located in the countryside between Waupaca and Almond. Very quiet, peaceful and beautifully landscaped park. This is more suited to adults as its summer residents are mostly retired and live here in the summer. - good life

Aug 2017 - $33.00
33/night for 50 amp, no water, no sewer; plus 9.95 transaction fee. Our first site (69), although advertised as long enough for our 42' fifth wheel, was impossible to get into. The site had trees on either side of the site opening, as well as trees on the opposite side of the road. We could not make the back-in turn to get into the site. As it was late at night, we had to find a place to huddle down for the night until we could talk to the rangers the next day. They were very helpful and put us into site 87, which allowed for us to back in.
The interior road was narrow and lined with trees that went up to and even extended over the pavement at times. We did manage to get through the interior roads, but would not choose to go through them again if we didn't have to. The sites are very private, with trees in between sites. The park was beautiful and quiet. $33/night for electric only is a bit steep in my opinion. If you have a big rig, definitely call the ranger station to get advice on which site to reserve. The website is not detailed enough to take into account the large amount of trees that will hamper the back in. - RVerFamily

Overall a very nice park. I highly recommend this place. Campsites are huge and private. The swimming lake is great as well as fishing and biking trails. - Jroget
