Our 2nd stay at this park. We hit Wisconsin Dells right before they close up the town for the season. Ghost town, but a very nice KOA! We stayed in the upper level which has big roomy pull through sites. This park is an excellent choice when planning a stay in the Dells. And the young man who led us to our site was extremely friendly and helpful. We camped at Wisconsin Dells KOA in a Motorhome.

Stayed here over Labor Day weekend as we were traveling west. Very nice place. Great staff. Level site. Clean laundry room. Some sites are close. Interior roads can be tight and hilly but we managed fine since we came on a week day with fewer vehicles around. Close to downtown Wisconsin Dells area. There is a train that passes nearby but isn't too disturbing depending on where your site is located. We would return if we were in the area. We camped at Wisconsin Dells KOA in a Travel Trailer.

My wife made a reservation but was told you couldn't reserve a site. The girl had told us "first come first served". So we got there early and were happy to see some nice sites near the pool. We picked out a few sites but were then told those sites were reserved. Clearly the opposite of what they said on the phone. Exposed, they became angry and thus so did I. They clearly have regulars they show favoritism to. They should just say that, rather than lie on the phone and to our face. Big fan of KOAs, this one? Not so much, LOL. We camped at Wisconsin Dells KOA in a Motorhome.

I apologize your stay wasn't up to par. I believe that you may have misunderstood what our staff was saying. When you make a reservation our program puts you in the site type you reserved, we cannot always accommodate requests for certain campsites as they already were reserved in the system for length of stay and length of unit, site type etc. We are sorry you felt regulars are show favoritism to. You had showed up 3 days early for your reservation that was made online so we tried to accommodate you as much as possible. When you came into our office swearing and threatening staff that is when you were asked to leave, which I am assuming is why this review was posted. Good luck in your future travels!

Very clean and very quiet. Had a deluxe site with grill and patio. Expensive but worth it. Just a little over a mile from downtown Dells. A train goes by frequently but didn't disturb us. Nice small pool with splash pad. Sewer pipe is not threaded so bring a brick. Will stay here again. We camped at Wisconsin Dells KOA in a Motorhome.

Such a nice campground with happy, great staff! Wow! All hookups worked fine and perfectly level site. The laundry was wonderful. The train is close by - our dogs ears raised and then he went back to sleep! Our neighbor put out his slides and their site is on a slant. Their slide is 6 feet from our door. We camped at Wisconsin Dells KOA in a Travel Trailer.

I stayed at this park with my wife and 4 children ages 2, 8, 8 and 11. We stayed in site #40. It's next to the busy road leading up to the upper 1/2 of the park but that didn't stop us from having lots of fun...in fact we would ask for this same site again. It's perfectly located next to the great pool, the fantastic office with game room, laundry and other conveniences. Consistent power with no surges. Even during a lightning storm. Dual inlets for ease of hooking up sewers. We used the laundry facility and everything came out clean...they have huge washers and dryers so we could save time by doing big loads. Site 40 is also close to the doggy "potty" area so if you are traveling with a dog it could not be more convenient. The campground also offers air for tires, dish wash area that may be used for tent campers, public showers / bathrooms in at least 2 locations and a great sandy area for the kids to enjoy playground equipment. We had a deluxe site that included dual sewer connections, 8 chairs 2 of which were rocking chairs, great cable (20+ channels) and cement everywhere so very little dirt ended up in the RV. We also had a great fire ring placed perfectly on the site. Lastly the pool was clean and offered hours of fun with a splash section that included fireman hoses, bubblers, waterfalls, etc. Awesome. Yes this is a glowing review but this KOA deserves it. I would stay here again and find no need to look elsewhere in the Wisconsin Dells area. We camped at Wisconsin Dells KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Overall our experience at the KOA was amazing and we will be back next year. I'll preface this review setting the stage that we are tent campers in our mid 30's with 2 kids who are 6 and 8. Wins: Free WiFi, nice tree coverage, very clean and well maintained bathrooms and showers, appropriate lighting, constant patrol of the grounds by KOA staff, the very nice pool and splash pad, and last but not least every staff person was incredibly nice and helpful!! Areas of slight concern: You are close the the railroad we were on the 3rd tier of sites and the noise although loud did not disturb our sleep. If you are a light sleeper this maybe a concern. Our site had a very small fire pit area that made it hard to seat 4 people near the fire. A concern for those with small kids. It would have been nice to see a better path to the bathroom, paved maybe. Our kids tripped down the washed out dirt trail several times. Overall like I said we will stay here again and we're very happy with our experience. We camped at Wisconsin Dells KOA in a Tent.

Our site was a pull thru with plenty of length for our tow vehicle. Site was level gravel with cement patio for the picnic table. Site had two sewer hookups so you could position camper to the front or back of the site and have easy reach for sewer hose. We did have low water pressure and when park was full, slow internet. We liked being close to downtown but not in the middle of town so it was quiet. Campground is close to a train track but not too loud. We camped at Wisconsin Dells KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here 3 nights. With the KOA discount and the free member appreciation night and cashing in some of our earned points, we ended up paying about $85 total for the 3 nights: not bad!

The campground is on a hill and the sites are on terraced levels. We were on the upper terrace in a level deluxe pull-through site with patio, rocking chairs and patio table. It even had a gas grill for our use. The campground maintained that woodsy feel you want for camping. Utilities were great and wi-fi was good. Verizon hot spot did well, although occasionally slow. We managed to sync the satellite for DirectTV, but there were also plenty of over-the-air channels, as well. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Wisconsin Dells KOA in a Motorhome.

Nice clean bath house with very clean shower and toilets that are separate rooms where you are the only one in there. Very updated with tile walls and great hot water. I really like the KOA website and online reservation system. I wish all campgrounds were as easy to reserve. This particular KOA is a clean, well-run KOA with a swimming pool, arcade game room, mini-mart, friendly staff and excellent service. They even guided us to our site. You don't have to unhook your toad at the office area but there's plenty of room there if you want to. The WiFi worked great (the best I've seen at a campground) but the park was nearly empty so that probably helped. Location is perfect - close to everything. Verizon cell worked fine. Sprint MiFi worked fine (but we didn't need it). We could not get DirecTV due to tree cover. There are train tracks close by but it didn't bother us. We never heard a train whistle just some rumbling on the tracks if we were outside. We would definitely stay here again if visiting the area. We camped at Wisconsin Dells KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We found the Dells to be a little too tourist-y for our taste but it's obviously a very popular destination. Kids must love it as there are lots of kid-friendly attractions. We took the boat tour of the Upper Dells and enjoyed it. Many attractions/businesses close for the season after Labor Day so visit before then if want to experience it all.
