Stay 4 nights while touring Yellowstone. Excellent personal service and help with problem I had .Very clean showers and bathrooms. Park is small but plenty of space in between sites. Far enough away from city to enjoy the surrounding. Only negative was gun store and campground together which could turn off some folks. Highly recommend this campground. We camped at Cody Wyoming Trout Ranch Camp in a Motorhome.

We pull a 43 ft fifth wheel with a long bed F350. Entry into the park was easy. Staff were friendly. Arrived here 9/15 so park is almost totally empty. Views are gorgeous- mountains all around. Lanes within the park are gravel and easy to travel on. Sites are long enough for our rig and truck. Sites are gravel with wide gravel spaces between sites. Trees are young and small. Site includes a picnic table. Utilities work well AT&T Cell is good. WIFI is good. Verizon Broadband is good No Cable TV Satellite works well. Large fenced grassy Dog park is very nice. No Pool. It snowed around here the day before we got here so definitely no bugs. Can't wait to return to this great RV park for a much longer stay next time. We camped at Cody Wyoming Trout Ranch Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

One hour drive to East Entrance of Yellowstone. MUST SEE: Cody Museum - actually 5 museums under one roof. Ticket is good for two days which means you don't have to rush through each museum. The museum also hosts a dinner show. It was Top Notch. Great food and wonderful entertainment. This was not the Yee hah we normally see with western entertainers! We cannot recommend them enough.

Overall Rating:

The park is right off the highway, so there is some highway noise. As others have stated, the road is dirt and sites are dirt/gravel with gravel between each site, and fairly close together. The longer sites are pull-through. A nice plastic picnic table is provided, but if you use your grill, it must be set up on a different table so the picnic table does not melt.. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice laundry room with only 2 washers and dryers at $2.00 each. Get there early before the staff starts using for linens from the tipis. The fishing pond is small but does have a lot of fish. Grandson only had one bite in two days so I guess the fish just were not hungry. Overall, the park is nice but in our opinion pricey for what it offers. We camped at Cody Wyoming Trout Ranch Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Pull thru, very tight navigating thru park. FHU, gravel roads and site. Not enough room to park our truck. Only grass in the dog run. Wifi didn't work very well. Laundry room only had 2 washers and 2 dryers. Staff very helpful and nice. Very windy most days. We camped at Cody Wyoming Trout Ranch Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites are gravel and rock with a picnic table. Electrical and water hookups were at the extreme front of site requiring the use of 30a or 50a extension cord if your power connection on RV is near the back. The sewer connection was also closer to the front requiring some long sewer hoses for some units. Laundry only had two washers and two dryers. Trout pond is small. I was not able to find a safe access down the steep hill to the river. There is a nice large fenced dog exercise area. We camped at Cody Wyoming Trout Ranch Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

This is just an OK park. Definitely not an 8 and not worth the price. It is just an open lot with gravel and rocks. Staff is friendly and very helpful. No shade and interior roads are hard to navigate. When pulling out of our space had to back-up to make the turn to get out of the park. There are only 2 washing machines which are used by both the guests and staff meaning that they are always in use. Water pressure is set to low at 45lbs. I used my internal tanks in order to take a shower. WiFi required constantly logging in and was slow. We would stay again only if there was not a better alternative. This park is very new. Trees have been planted but it will be some time before there is any shade. However that is the only thing that keeps this park from being a "10". Services work well, views are great. Love that they have the trout pond. They provide fishing gear and bait for free. Only $5 per fish if you want to keep it and they will clean it. That is cheaper than the grocery store and a lot fresher. We camped at Cody Wyoming Trout Ranch Camp in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful RV park slightly out of town: overlooking mountains on both sides. Spaces are wide and the services work flawlessly. They have a trout pond where you can catch and release or, if you'd rather eat your catch, they actually offer to clean the fish for $5 (we'd rather catch and release). Good sized dog run area with a poop bag station that was a big hit with our aging chocolate labrador. (Note: there were some nasty prickly weeds littering the dog run, but they cut the grass once a week and knock those down.)

Nice laundry room: only two washers and two dryers that seem to be in high demand, so plan accordingly. The only down side to this park is the fact that it is in a gravel field with absolutely no shade whatsoever.

Verizon: had 4 bars LTE. Satellite TV worked well. Park Wifi worked well. Plant a few trees and it's the best park in town. We liked it here and will return if we're in this neck of the woods in the future. We camped at Cody Wyoming Trout Ranch Camp in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Don't miss the Buffalo Bill Museum of the West. We were pleasantly surprised at the vastness of the exhibits. Also: hit the Irma Hotel for their famous "bread pudding with whiskey sauce." At $2.95 - it's totally worth it, plus you get to visit a famous, historic hotel in the process. The bar may have live entertainment as an added bonus.

Narrow roads and sites, although their website describes them as roomy. There were few people in the park when we were there so we were able to drive through the site in front of us to exit. But if the park were full, I think getting in and out of sites would be stressful. It's in a beautiful location, but no shade as trees not yet grown. Creek and fishing pond on site. We were there a week and had mail sent; mine was opened accidentally. We camped at Cody Wyoming Trout Ranch Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park with great views. The sites are narrow so getting in and out is tricky. It's about 10 minutes to town, but it's an easy drive so the distance is not a problem. Very nice, new RV park about 5 miles from downtown Cody. The park has a firearms store on site so the highway signage is a little confusing. Our GPS was not accurate either so we missed it the first time. Staff was very friendly. The roads are gravel and tight. The sites are gravel as well. The only grass is at the nice off leash dog area. The sites can be tight getting in and out of, with some large rock borders to deal with. Young trees do not yet offer shade. Sites are close together yet felt roomy enough. Restrooms are "private" and very nice. The trout pond and view of the Shoshone River was nice. Utilities worked fine but there were two water leaks at other vacant sites during our week stay that caused the water main to be turned off for several hours. They have a nice lounge in the main building with sofas, coffee and microwave. We camped at Cody Wyoming Trout Ranch Camp in a Motorhome.

Small laundry, good machines (2 washers, 2 dryers), reasonable price. Our site was level, easy to pull in, long enough. Good hookups, good wifi. Nice view of mountains, open. New park, very few other RVs. A shame. It is a very good small park. Easy to get Dish TV, good Verizon signal. We camped at Cody Wyoming Trout Ranch Camp in a Travel Trailer.

Great new campground. The staff is excellent! Could use some landscaping to lessen the harden look of gravel. Excellent Teepees along the river for those that don't have rev's, are spectacular. Best wifi we have ever used! Once the landscaping is finished this campground could be a ten! We camped at Cody Wyoming Trout Ranch Camp in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here for two nights while visiting Cody. The management and staff were very nice and helpful. Our site was reasonably level. Wi-Fi was available, but in and out. We soon disconnected and used Verizon, which was strong. After looking at the other parks in Cody from a street view, we would still pick this park over what we observed in the city. The downside to us was that the park is in full sun with no shade. All hookups worked well with no problems. We would recommend this park for a short stay while passing through town. Small, new campground on the river. Called a few miles out to park a 38 foot motorhome with a 24 foot trailer. Very accomodating! Hung out, a little but not bad, for one night. A little tight for big rigs with the rocks and landscaping. Nice fishing on the river, I hear! The bathrooms are just like home! They are individual bathrooms with toilet, sink and shower!

Campsites are all gravel and include a picnic table.

We were able to take our motorcycles out and tour Cody before moving on to Yellowstone.

We were pleased with our short stay! We camped at Cody Wyoming Trout Ranch Camp in a Motorhome.
