If you are looking for the Pickle Ball courts, keep driving. When we saw the price we weren't expecting much. But it was fine for what we needed and the location was where we needed it. Utilities worked fine. There are a few who live there long term. But the thing that I will always remember about the place is the wonderful lady who owns it. She is so kind and friendly - without being interfering (which would be easy when you are basically the only guest and are staying at her house). She found out I had a migraine headache and because she is in to nutrition and natural healing, she so kindly brought over a book with a section about migraines and the role different foods and minerals played. If you knew her age and saw her working every day you wouldn't question she is living life right. Is it the best place we ever stayed certainly not. But would I go back and will I remember her? Absolutely. We camped at Mountain View Campground in a Motorhome.

Might have been nice awhile back but now only electric, water and sewer. Short roads have huge potholes...washrooms and showers in the main building are closed..."cafe" and office are so grungy you're afraid to touch anything. Owner told us a previous camper had mowed the tall grass in the few usable sites so the could be rented. PPA rate only given for 3 nights so paid full rate of $25 for 2 nights plus tax. Left wondering how this place exists! We camped at Mountain View Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Lander has some nice museums and restaurants but otherwise nothing special.

An older ex-KOA park in need of some upkeep. Interior roads a little rough in spots, site did require a single board under some tires, water pressure and electric were good, very convenient only 1/4 mile off highway. The best selling point is the woman who greets you - very friendly and nice and maybe if you're lucky she'll wave goodbye as you leave like she did to me. I would stay again if passing thru. We camped at Mountain View Campground in a Motorhome.

Just off HWY 287 West of Landers, WY. Small, intimate campground with a lot of character. Cafe on property similar to the general stores you see in small Western towns. It is surrounded by plains with mountains everywhere., looks like an older ranch you see in this area, with a few RV sites. Staff is very friendly and helpful, guided us into our site and furnished a ladder and pruning shears to trim the trees. I would stay here again. We camped at Mountain View Campground in a Motorhome.

Love this place. 2nd time here. If you like country camping and not the typical RV park, as well as a blast from the past, this is a perfect spot, especially with Passport America. $13.50 a night, otherwise, it's $25. No,it's not perfectly manicured. The road in and around the campsites are dirt (but level). I would probably be hesitant to bring anything over 40 ft here. There are some full timers. They are nice, quiet and relatively tidy. There are some old beat up vehicles and farm equipment off to the back of the property. The views of the countryside and the Wind River Mtns are wonderful. It's all very relaxing. The showers and bathrooms are long boarded up, but the sites that you will get have full hookups, and they work fine. There is no real shade, but usually a breeze. Verizon works great- 4 bars of 4G. There is a little hwy traffic during the day (~1/4 mile away), but very quiet at night. It's only a 10 minute drive to Lander. The owners are two of the nicest people we've met on our summer on the road. They will meet you with Sadie the dog, out front when you pull in, and come say goodbye when you leave. You will hear some great stories, or they will leave you alone. Your choice. If you give her notice, she will even cook you dinner in the cafe (didn't have the pleasure). The cafe is a cozy room frozen in time. Hundreds of books and other items to browse. To me, this place is all about the experience, and it is an experience, not just a place to sleep, unless you want it to be. I was excited to arrive and a little sad to leave. We camped at Mountain View Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for the cheap PA rate only. We only needed a one night, full hookup spot after boondocking for two weeks and found this one on the PA website. The owner was very, very nice. An older lady is who I met, can't remember her name. The grounds are unkempt, barren, and the handful of spots on the property were full with obvious long time people. They were well settled in. There were maybe three open spots when we were there. it is a bare bones stop for the night and sleep kinda place. Worth the $12.50, though! We camped at Mountain View Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
