Great location just south of downtown. Easy walk to downtown Lander shops and restaurants. Many spaces in the park have trees and at least partial shade. Some spots have a gorgeous view of the town. Staff is friendly. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a Thai restaurant just across the highway which is quite yummy. I’d also recommend the Gannet Grill / Lander Bar and the Middle Fork Cafe. Both have excellent food at a reasonable price. Booth have outdoor seating.

A small ok pk of about 50 sites FHU 30/30A, sites are gravel with some grass between sites, each site has picnic table & fire ring. Sites are wide enough but not very long we just fit with our 36'MH had to put car cross ways in back. A few sites were a little longer. Roads in pk not that wide. There are some cabins & tent sites also. Friendly staff No cable but we did get a couple stations on reg TV. WIFI works but was slow where we were as I needed to use it the 1st couple days as my MIFI stopped working till i could get a new unit from Verizon in town. We stayed here for a wk (pd $243.66) with GS disc, there were some things we wanted to see in area plus we had friends nearby. The pk does have different rates for different sites back-in, pull-in sites with a view are more but I didn't think they were worth it as not that great of a view looking down on the town. We just had a reg. pull through site they do also have some w/e only sites for smaller units. It is a GS pk so got the 10% disc. There is a laundry room with 3 stackable fairly new washer & dryers. I didn't use them but looked in there it was $2.25. to wash & $1.75. to dry which I thought was a bit high as they were not big washers & were front loaders which I do not like. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

A tired campground with tight turns and insufficient space for detached cars. Certainly no bells or whistles. Good WiFi but no cable and only 6 antenna stations. Sewer hookup is at the rear of the site requiring three hose sections. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice place. Suggest paying for the sites with a view as there are fewer trees (in addition to overlooking the town). Sites are. It very wide so you get to meet your neighbors. We’ll kept place. Very friendly folks run the place. Good gravel roads & sites - not dirt & some gravel. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here one night during our summer vacation. We found the park staff to be extremely helpful and friendly. The interior roads are tight for big rigs, but do-able. It would help if the long term campers didn't block the roads with their commuter vehicles. The park trees are in need of trimming. Our site was fairly level, but the sewer hookup was inconveniently located at the tail end of the site. Good for trailer owners, bad for motorhome owners. There is a 32 gallon trash can conveniently located at each site. The park wifi was very good. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Park is under new ownership as of 2019. New owners were attentive and not overbearing. We opted for the 'view' sites and did not regret it. Spectacular view of the town and foothills of the Wind River Range. Sites close together, although there was plenty of room behind our camper. Bathroom and laundry facilities were very nice. Small playground and splashpad was entertaining for the kids. Lander is a gem of a town. Playground at City Park is world class. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This park sits up on top of a hill looking down into Lander. We were in the middle section of the park and it wasn't too tight with grass and trees, but around the outside of the park the spaces were a lot tighter. We were here for 2 nights. Loved the town of Lander. We went into Sinks Canyon St Park and did the 2.5 mile trail to Popo Agie Falls. Beautiful with 4 falls. (It was pretty difficult. Also saw the trout ponds. Went in town later to the Gannett Bar & Grill and sat on the patio. They are dog friendly. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Sort of tight but not bad. The water, sewer and power were in the back of the site a stretch, if you want to leave your toad connected. No real pet area. If you use the vacant land next to the campground "watch your step"! We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Lander, Wyoming is well worth visit, it's an attractive town with an excellent frontier museum and plenty of decent places to shop and eat. However, when it comes to RV campgrounds, there's not much to choose from. Sleeping Bear RV Park remains our first choice when visiting the area, but its narrow and relatively short RV spaces translate into a lack of physical privacy. We found that our neighbors were way to close to enjoy sitting outside. In addition, our pull-thru site was barely long enough for our 30ft trailer and pickup - hence the need to park the truck at a 45 degree angle in front of our trailer. Yes, we may return in the future, but only because Lander lacks other options. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Beware--don't be taken in by the offer to put you in a site with a great view--for an extra $10!! The view is of the industrial portion of Lander, WY and a now defunct car dealer along with what appears to be an old rock quarry. Certainly nothing special to look at, and pay an extra $10 for the pleasure! Office person had a very difficult time figuring out what sites were available and ultimately put us in a site that we found to be occupied. We had to drive back to the office to get another site--and again she wasn't sure it was available. Ended up telling us to go take a look and park there if available--telling us we would love it because it was a site with a view! After telling her we didn't really care if we had a site with a view, she took the charges off. After we saw the "view"--we were really glad we had not paid extra for it. Hookups were on wrong side for many campers--leading to confusion as to who had the right to claim what picnic table and fire ring! This appears to be a park that is struggling--thanks to incompetent management. After parking and visiting with several of our neighbors we heard similar stories of their problems getting checked in, having to move, not having promised hook-ups, etc. Find somewhere else to stay, or at a minimum don't agree to take a given site until you have checked it out. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice, small park. Friendly staff. Guided to spot by staff member on golf cart. All gravel drives and sites with a few trees here and there. On top of a large hill so it is very windy. Entry off highway is the only bad mark... goes up at a pretty steep angle so that it sounded like back of RV bottomed out and sharp turn also. I have 41' class A and will probably try another park next time just because of the entry. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

This park sits up on a hill with nice views of the surrounding area. Utilities were placed in the right area and functioned well. Spaces are tight with neighbors very close. Tough area to find a place to hook up a toad without blocking other campers or roadway. I felt the price was too high and would stay elsewhere next time. We camped here in a 40' motorhome.
