Roads: Gravel and turns are a bit tight and you might have to do a lap or two to get the right angle to get into your site. Site was on the end of the back row away from the office, it was a bit narrow and just long enough for the toad and coach. Road noise is an issue during the day but not so much at night. Showers: Only 1 men and 1 women showers. Lines were an issue. The show was large and handicapped accessible with good hot water and low to medium pressure. Bathroom and showers were spotless. Washer and drier were $7/ load. We stayed here due to a storm that was brewing where we wanted to go. This place doesn't have much to offer except location. We might stay here again but I'd check out the other places in town before we stayed again. We camped at Twin Pines RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Stayed here based on high rating from other reviewers. I do not share their opinion. Sites are about 50 feet from the highway, so there is a lot of daytime road noise and enough nighttime road noise to wake me, which isn't easy. Tight turn on the interior road once you leave the office to drive to your site. VERY narrow sites that are short and packed close together. No guidance on how far forward or back the front of the coach should be to allow for uniform spacing to park toads or tow vehicles. Some are parked in front, some in back. Had to move my truck twice to allow others easier access in or out of a neighboring site. Sewer connection is in the middle of the site, so you may have your neighbor's sewer hose about 2 feet from the bottom of your stairs. Pathetic fenced dog run, about 9' x 30', on an incline the entire length, with plenty of weeds and dog crap on the ground. The rear fence of the run is the park's barbed wire perimeter fence and the front fence is a mess of chain link that looks recycled. They have 2 stacked washer/dryer units. $7 to wash and dry one load of laundry. Park's wifi at our site was useless. Even in the laundry room the wifi was iffy. With bandwidth and hardware being so cheap, there is no reason for poor wifi. Doubt I will be in this area again, but if I was, I would not stay here. The Maverick is on a quiet side street in town and about $10 a night less. At least in town cell service and mifi should work. We camped at Twin Pines RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

If you want to run your dog off leash, the high school has 3 soccer fields you can use. Verified usage with a city tour office employee. The front field has a doggie bag dispenser. The city park little league field is also available, but you have to take your own bags. Verified usage with a parks and rec employee.

The park itself is nicely kept up. I call it "the little park with the big heart". The bathrooms are spotless and that's very important for an RV park. It is off a highway, as I have discovered most park are. So, yes there is a little highway noise. I learned a long time ago that running a fan in the bedroom at night covers outside noise that disturbs my sleep so highway noise or a nearby train never bother me...no train near this park though! Park does a nightly campfire (if not too windy). The park is gravel. It rained while we were there and the grounds drained rather quickly. We were not in a muddy mess that I have seen at other gravel rv parks where you have mud sprayed the entire length of your truck and fifth wheel as you pull through the lot. We camped at Twin Pines RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Originally thought this was just a great little stopping off park en route to Yellowstone, but came to realize the area has its own appeal. The town is beautiful with very few unoccupied buildings on Main Street. Businesses seemed to be flourishing and very active. The houses off Main are lovely and well kept up. Lots to see in do in the area. When in Fremont County, don't miss Atlantic City and the Mercantile!

Office, laundry, restroom and shower facilities are charming and spotlessly clean. Sites are gravel, some with small patches of dry grass between. Picnic table on each site. We could not get satellite signal from our roof mount due to trees. Virtually no Verizon signal. Wifi was only available in the office and common areas but it was strong and fast. Nice setting with beautiful tent camping spots. However, highway noise during the day can be loud. Traffic really slows down at night. We enjoyed our stay and would go back. We camped at Twin Pines RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 6 days. It's small but clean. We were shocked that they charged extra for children. We had our Three grandchildren with us 3.00 per child 10,8 and (6 which was free). I understand charging extra for adults but not children under 12 at least. The campsite has a small rundown swing set but other than that there is nothing to offer the kids to even charge extra for. If they stay in your parking area and in your trailer why the extra charge? We camped at Twin Pines RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

As with any product or service an RV park must be viewed in context of a like item. If you are looking for a 5* luxury facility this is not for you. If on the other hand you want a place to spend a night or two in the quiet of the country with a great atmosphere, then this is the place. As compared to other small remote facilities this one is great, flat level gravel (no levelers needed), good utilities. They offer a Military discount to Active Duty or Retired if you present a valid military I.D. card. We camped at Twin Pines RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The town of Lander is nearby. As described by the proprietor, you can find everything you may need in town except WalMart...thanks to the closing of the WalMart Neighborhood stores.

Nice little park about 6 miles south of Lander. Beautifully landscaped, rural, quiet at night, operators very friendly. Level sites, good utility hook-ups, thankfully no firerings to stink the place up. The bathrooms/shower were spotless but were few in number for the number of sites. Wifi was basically non-existent which is the basis for the mark-downs. With no Verizon in the immediate area either, it is very hard to make plans for visiting the local sites, mapping routes, or just getting updated in recent news since over-the-air channels were very sparse. We camped at Twin Pines RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Sinks Canyon and the Popo Agie falls were spectacular. Many wildflowers in June but we didn't see much wildlife. Sacajawea's grave is nearby for those with an interest in history as is South Pass City. The pioneer museum in Lander is very well done and should not be missed to get a flavor of local history.

Our host was very friendly and helpful, but the park is only OK. Sites are all gravel with trees between. The trees severely limit RV space; either slides or awning, but not both. The trees also limit satellite reception. Sites are too short to accommodate RV plus toad without disconnecting. Wifi is available only in the office. The fenced dog run is unusable but there is a grassy tent area below the RV sites where dogs can be walked. We camped at Twin Pines RV Park in a Motorhome.

This place personifies western hospitality. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The park is small, and the facilities are limited, but it is fine for a one-night stopover. Most if not all of the sites were pull through. Right behind the park is a pasture; we heard cattle in the pasture and on the morning of our departure we spotted some pronghorn antelope grazing. The park is clean..okay for a place to rest for the night...the sites are small. The internet came in good when we were parked next to the office, but pull 100 feet up to our site and I got NOTHING. I couldn't even use the Hot Spot on my phone because of very low phone signal there.

It did have a nice rec area and picnic tables by the water...

I wouldn't want to stay very long, but okay for the night. We camped at Twin Pines RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This park is located a few miles south of Lander; we saw it driving by and were attracted by the appearance, pastoral, trees, a couple of ponds/reservoirs. This Good Sam Park has only about twenty spaces. The owner obviously takes pride in the park. Neat, well maintained, gravel roads and mostly level gravel sites with small green, grass lawns with picnic tables, hookups all in working order, very friendly, laid back staff. Most of the sites with smallish shade trees (no mean feat in Wyoming). Quiet, peaceful. Neatest restrooms ever…large, home style, spotlessly clean, modern, a big shower area, handicap/ready, a spacious toilet and a sink area occupy an amount of space that in many RV parks would be stuffed with two or three shower stalls, two toilets, a couple of urinals, and three or more sinks. In fact, this is the only quibble I can think of…with only one toilet and one shower in each of the restrooms (mens' and womens), I can imagine there might be a waiting line when the park is full, especially if folks aren’t considerate. No problems at this campground; there were no generators, no loud music or parties, nobody cranking up a diesel truck at 4 AM, no loose, pooping, or barking dogs, no ATVs ripping through. Please don’t stay here if you are the type to contribute to any of the above problems …I really like it the way it is. Did not try the WiFi; cell phone reception was somewhat weak but serviceable at our site. Bottom line, possibly the nicest little park in the whole world; courteous knowledgeable staff & quiet, courteous guests. We (two people and a quiet, well-mannered dog) stayed here one night in September in a popup trailer; this will be our first choice in the future. We paid $31 with a Good Sam card. We camped at Twin Pines RV Park in a Tent Trailer.
