Overall Rating:

I called well in advance of our stay and at the time was asked if I had a "Golden Age" pass as this would give a discount of $17.00(+/-) per night discount. I said I have the "America The Beautiful Senior Lifetime" pass to which I was told wasn't honored then charged a deposit of $81.00 per night fee. Upon arrival I questioned the discount and again was told the discount was for the "Golden Age" pass only. The "Golden Age" pass was replaced with the "America The Beautiful Senior Lifetime" pass so the attendant checked and yes I do get the discount after all, which reduced the nightly fee of $81.00 to $62.00. (+/-) We needed to change our arrival/departure dates due to approaching weather conditions and the folks at Headwater/Flagg Ranch were most gracious in making those changes without hesitation. Keeping in mind this is late Sept. so availability allowed for a change. So thank you very much to the staff working reservations. However, that is as far as my good points can go because the RV Park itself leaves a lot to be desired. Upon first entering, there are no directional signs that we could find so naturally we end up at the wrong building and desk. Though, the attendant was most helpful. Likewise, when you enter and/leave the RV park you'll find little to no directional signs and unless you study the layout before leaving with your RV, your likely to take a grand tour finding your way out while towing. Which is not recommended due to the water filled crater infested lanes, in to and out of the park. Although the big mud puddles do lend to keeping the dust down as vehicle tires pick up the water and spread it over the dirt lanes. Arriving at our site we found the power panel door laying on the ground and the spigot handle partially broken off but that was OK because the water was practically running from the valve so all I had to do, was make a quick hook up with the water hose.

Located between the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Parks. At their restaurant we had to send our Prime Rib dinner back because everything was barely warm. Our baked potatoes were replaced with new ones and the dinners returned barely warm. I realize we are staying in an RV park, but at $81.00 per night (without discount) is it too much to expect signage and pitless roads? We camped at Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch (formerly Flagg Ranch Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.

All sites are completely tree covered so no roof top satellite. No cell service of any type. When it rains the place becomes a mud pit. The sites are not level or well marked and are just packed dirt. Trees need trimming and hang out into the roads and sites. Utilities are placed in a haphazard arrangement but do function satisfactorily. Bring lots of books and games there is nothing to do after dark, and little to do during the day. We camped at Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch (formerly Flagg Ranch Resort) in a Motorhome.

The size of and spacing between sites is incredible. We've never had that much room between sites in a campground. There is absolutely no cell service, no internet, and no satellite. It's OK though, the air, the sky and the views make it a wonderful stay. Just make sure no one is expecting your call while you are there. Also, be prepared for a nice coating of dirt and dust. It can't be helped. We camped at Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch (formerly Flagg Ranch Resort) in a Motorhome.

This was our first visit to Grand Teton NP and from Jackson, you get to drive pretty much the full length of the park to get to Headwaters RV. Check-in was quick and easy and the staff very friendly and helpful. The sites and interior roads are all dirt, so can get quite muddy if it rains. Also, the roads in the campground are full of large potholes, so drive carefully! It took us longer than usual to get set up because the site was not level, the sewage drain was not convenient to our outlet, and position of trees at the site. However, once those problems had been addressed, we really enjoyed our site! Lots of shade, great views and evenings around the campfire made for a very enjoyable stay. The only downside was the abundance of mosquitoes at the time of year we were there. Parking at the scenic attractions can be very difficult as the park gets crowded, so be patient and plan to visit your "must-see" places either early in the day or late in the afternoon to avoid the crowds. We camped at Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch (formerly Flagg Ranch Resort) in a Travel Trailer.

This was a great location between Yellowstone and Teton. Park had decent full hookups, nice laundry, and friendly staff. The park is all dirt roads and sites. It was muddy, but that was to be expected in Late May for the area. There is NO CELL PHONE service at all in the Park, but there is really NO Service in most of Yellowstone or much of the area either. Over all it was a nice place. Really wanted to stay at Colter Bay closer to the Tetons but you have to book probably 9 months in advance or more. The cost is about the same as Headwaters. I think everything near Yellowstone is pricey. Reason I gave it a low score is because the park is all dirt and very, very dusty. Someone just drives by while your outside and dust is everywhere. (Colter Bay is all paved and also has a great view of the Tetons). Our site though was very roomy with nice trees, but we had no phone signal. Across the street is the Flagg ranch hotel, restaurant, gas station and convenience store. Very nice. I asked at the little store about cell service and she said you had to go down to Jackson Lake in a pull over to get signal. They called it the phone booth. Every time we drove by there were people on their phones. Headwaters is at the south entrance to Yellowstone. In the evenings I would walk out of the RV park and go down the road with our dog. The 1st night I saw 3 cars pulled off the road. There was a bull moose, momma and 2 little ones right off the road. Every night we were there I walked down the road and they were always around. Loved that. Walk down the road to see if the moose is around. Be prepared to do a lot of driving. Yellowstone is huge!! We barely saw any wild life in the south and west entrance to Yellowstone. The east and north is where they all the animals are. Were here for 4 nights. Don't miss Jenny lake in the Tetons. We took the boat across and hiked back. Also went to the grizzly and wolf discovery in West. (We drove from the south entrance to the west Entrance). Its right outside the west entrance. We camped at Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch (formerly Flagg Ranch Resort) in a Motorhome.

This park was a pleasant surprise after reading previous reviews. It was amazingly laid out to provide large staggered sites with lots of wooded space between and no lined up neighbors. It was very easy to drive into and out of the sites. Although the sites were unpaved, they were level, long & wide. The trees were all nicely trimmed and the grounds were well-kept. The workers were very friendly and helpful. It was a very peaceful & pleasant place to stay. The price was very reasonable for this location. Loved it! Set in groups of mature pine trees, the distance to the next site is measured in yards, not feet. Although very expensive, we felt it was well worth that expense: privacy and nature all with the needed hook-ups. No wifi, phone, or cable. This is the 2nd time we stayed here and I know there will be many more. We believe this to be the most beautiful RV park setting anywhere! Tips for other Campers:

There is a gas station with store, gift shop, restaurant, etc. located just outside the South entrance to Yellostone NP, still with the Tetons NP. Easy drive to some of the most beautiful places anywhere! About 1 hour's drive to Old Faithful or to Jackson Hole. Jackson Lake with fantastic views of the Tetons is very close.

If you cannot get a spot in the Fishing Bridge campground give serious consideration to staying here!

We stayed here with our caravan group for 3 nights. There was a large parking lot behind the lodge, that we could stage our 16 rigs in, before we moved them to their sites. We stayed here while we toured Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. This campground was well laid out to provided large sites with lots of space between sites and trees. The sites are dirt, but are over sized, level, long & wide. The roads were a bit confusing, but once you had been around once, it was easier to understand. The trees were all nicely trimmed and the grounds were well-kept. The campground workers were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. We were camping in a 42' motor home. The only thing good about this park is the location. It is somewhat close to the southern entrance to Yellowstone National Park and the Snake River. Here's the bad - it is clear that no money is being put back into this park. There are large potholes everywhere. It is a very dirty park - very dusty or very muddy. When it rains the potholes flood making it impossible to avoid large potholes. Way too expensive for what you get. Also, the people in the restaurant are not friendly. I'd say keep driving or stay in West Yellowstone at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park. We camped at Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch (formerly Flagg Ranch Resort) in a Motorhome.

Dirt sites were very dusty. Bathroom showers needed some work, as minor as new shower curtains. For the price the campground offered little except it was close to Yellowstone and the Tetons, although it really was a drive to either. Laundry facilities were expensive($2.50 wash and $175 dry) I probably wouldn't stay here again. We camped at Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch (formerly Flagg Ranch Resort) in a Motorhome.

An overpriced, dusty, crowded marginally maintained campground/RV park. We spent 4 nights there recently with our daughters and other family members. For the price of 4 campsites we could have stayed at some of the best motels in Jackson. The camp/RV sites and roads might have been graveled/graded at one time but now they are mostly had packed dirt covered with a layer of fine dust. The toilets/shower houses are sort of clean...if you arrive right after the janitors finish their rounds. Another issue: this place does NOT honor the NPS Senior Pass 50% discount. Expect a discount of only 20%. If you are traveling to/from Yellowstone or the Grand Tetons avoid this place. The Forest Service has several small campgrounds nearby; check them out first. If all else fails, keep driving. We camped at Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch (formerly Flagg Ranch Resort) in a Travel Trailer.

Spent 2.5 months traveling out west, this was the worst campground I have ever stayed in. Roads are simply dirt and full of large potholes, sites are dirt as well. The front of my electric box fell off when I set up and I had to repair it. You could not site outside because of the dust. This is a location on Federal land, leased to an operator. They do not put a dollar into maintenance and it shows. Location is convenient to YS and Tetons so you might hold your nose and stay there. However be aware it is a dump. The sites are level and I believe all are pull thrus and the park is big rig friendly. Yes, this Is close to Yellowstone and Tetons so it is pricey, but it's the only other full hookup campground within 50 miles so it is what it is. Yes, it is dusty but we are camping. The services worked great and the check-in employees did a great job. The restrooms and showers were as clean as can be expected with a campground this large and there is plenty of hot water. Plenty of shade at most sites and NO cell service, TV signals or WiFi. This is camping old style at its best. The fires in the evenings felt good cause it did get chilly in the evenings. The camp store and filling station is convenient. We would camp here again. We camped at Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch (formerly Flagg Ranch Resort) in a Motorhome.

Office was not easy to spot but check-in was easy. Park layout not easy to follow without map - no signs. Mature trees helped with some privacy. Our spot had a water main leak so had some flooding which caused us to move to another spot our last night. We were very close to restrooms until that last night so a lot of foot traffic. They don't let you pick your spot - first come first serve. Pricey for a poorly finished park with no paving but really no other options for full hooks ups in this area except one other park. Very close to Yellowstone entrance. We did see bear and cubs on the road early morning off the highway. Good water pressure. Electric flickered on and off during the night so glad we had surge protector attached. Tetons and Yellowstone are amazing. We enjoyed our stay and, if we return, will likely come back to this park. When they say no cell phone service, they mean it! Very few areas with signal when traveling from south of Tetons to north end of Yellowstone.
