Price reflects military discount. Easy check in with the caretaker. We were told what sections still had water turned on and just go find a site. All sites have a fence around them and parking to be out of the road can be a challenge. In fact, we were backed in at an angle and still we sticking out in the road a tad. Good water pressure and 50 amp power. Some sites have both 30 and 50 amp, some site only 30, some sites have only 50 and others have both. The site we selected had only 50 amp. Not a bad place and the price is right. - StarlifterFE

We stayed in the Pilot Butte Campground. The sewer connection is located at the rear of the space, two sewer hoses may be needed. Do not leave awning out unattended, VERY windy at times. Call prior to arrival to be sure there are no major events scheduled, however, there are many many sites. No reservations. Check in with host then pick out site. - Mustcamp

This is a huge facility with a large number of sites. It's basically a large series of open areas covered in crushed rock with wooden fencing to mark off spots. Their web site has excellent information on events that might increase usage, but call ahead if unsure. Each row of sites has a strip behind it where service hook-ups are located, so extra cord and hose may be needed. We were able to get an end spot which was a little wider, allowing us to "parallel park" and get easier access to the full hook-up connections. Our site was surprisingly level, considering that the whole facility is on sloping land. When we stayed, there weren't a lot of activities going on, but we did hear some noise from other parts of the grounds at times during the day. Enter at the "livestock" gate and look for the host about halfway in on the left. Other than full hook-ups, there aren't many more amenities but that's OK! We were able to get excellent DirecTV access, good VZW coverage and weak OTA signals. - RvTravelerNTechie

We have been here many times before, because it fits in my daily driving distance. If you get a site facing away from the highway there is a nice view of the mountains. The power and water seem new. The dog park is big and has grass; it's clean and well kept. The place generally looks much better than before, with patio site with wind breaks. - piclif

As with all KOA RV parks this year, this was terrible value for money. This is basically a dirt and crushed rock lunar landscape throughout the park and there is no definition between the interior roads, RV sites, and every area inside the park. When it rains, and it did constantly during our overnight stay, the rainwater doesn't drain through the rock base. Rather it sits on top and the dirt surface turns to mud. That meant every time we stepped into our RV or car our shoes were caked in mud. The WiFi didn't automatically connect, so they sent a member of staff, who couldn't work it out. but the signal bar was so low it didn't matter. The cable was like snow, the same staff member tried to fix that too, without success. He said it's usually a bit better than that! Like not heavy blizzard snow picture, just regular snow picture. Train and highway noise. I would never stay here again, their mall would be better, at least its tarmac. - JeffK
Sep 2018 - $43.00
We have stayed here several times before. It is spacious and easy to maneuver. Granted the campground is gravel, the dust didn't seem that bad. Sites could be more level but still no problem about leveling the camper. Fuel and groceries are close by and a side road to get to town without getting back on the interstate. Due to the closeness of the interstate there was a lot of road noise but that's the price to pay for convenience and would stay here again, even for several days. - Jack&Wanda

We stayed here for 2 nights to rest from long travel days. Section E appears to be for short term travelers. It is up a hill from office and requires a bit of maneuvering up the driveway. Road and sites are paved. Sites are level and long enough to unhook tow vehicle. It looks like improvements are being made as electric box and sewer connection are new. However, the electric box is barely attached to the post and moves a lot when plugging in cord. The trench that was dig to run these new lines has not been paved thru the sites and has settled, leaving a dip. There are a few trees but little else in the way of vegetation. There is road noise from I80 which is just to the north and train noise from the south. The other sections of this campground appear to be for long term guests and appear run down. Their internet web site mentions the Ft. Bridger Historical Monument but be aware that it is 50 miles away. Wifi worked at times but dropped a lot. This park is surrounded by private residences and one night was disturb by one person running a loud vehicle for hours. Manager was good to work with. We will probably not stay there again if in the area. - RV'er

Very clean. Loooong pull thru sites. Couldn't hook to sewer since access was too far back, even with 2 extensions. Pretty bare bones. Wifi was great. Friendly owner. Excellent for just passing thru. - wynnkin

Basic park upkeep is absent. Nothing is green and it's all turned to weeds and the restrooms were nasty. Trash can in the restroom was over flowing and paper towels and toilet paper all over the floor. Looks like it'd been at least a day or more since anybody from the RV Park had taken a walk through the rest rooms. Large bags of building insulation were stacked up and leaning against the fence.....looked like they'd been there for quite awhile. Not some place we'd ever go back, but we did meet some very nice fellow campers there that we are staying in touch with. Pet fee of $2 for each of our two dogs. - JCZ
