Huge facility. Go past main entrance, use livestock entrance. Followed signs to caretakers house. Fenced yard with dogs, sign on fence saying go to large building. People in large building say go to caretakers house. Entered with other campers with same problem. Found a site, which are not marked but appear to be in sections of 30 and 50 amp. Bathroom facility is exceptional as others have posted. Left early the next morning per our plans. Never located the caretaker. - Randoni99

This is a huge campground. Be sure to use the Livestock entrance (past the main entrance) and follow clear signs to Caretaker's house to check-in. We asked for Electric Hookup only so the caretaker only charged us $10 and let us park along the end of a row so we would not have to unhook our trailer. Each regular full hookup site is surrounded by fencing on 3 sides That could be tricky for a big rig but there is lots of room to maneuver and the caretakers seem more than willing to work with guests so I can't see a problem. I was amazed at the bathhouse - very clean and up to date - an unexpected surprise at a fairground type site. - Sunny Weathers

Price reflects military discount. Easy check in with the caretaker. We were told what sections still had water turned on and just go find a site. All sites have a fence around them and parking to be out of the road can be a challenge. In fact, we were backed in at an angle and still we sticking out in the road a tad. Good water pressure and 50 amp power. Some sites have both 30 and 50 amp, some site only 30, some sites have only 50 and others have both. The site we selected had only 50 amp. Not a bad place and the price is right. - StarlifterFE

Busy campground, close to I-80 and next to an oil storage facility where almost all sites are gravel/rock. Entrance road is paved but all interior roads are gravel. We stayed one night this year and one night last year. It does seem to be less dusty this year than last. Many spots are buddy sites that face each other. I am not a fan of this arrangement and paid extra for an end site. There is a nice store with all of the basics. The laundry facility is clean and has 6 washers and 6 dryers ($2.50 for washer, $2.50 for dryer). There is an exercise room with one treadmill, one stationary bike, and one elliptical machine. There is a pool and playground and a dog park. Highway noise was not an issue. Long term residents are in a separate area at the rear of the park. Overall, it is OK for a night or two but I wouldn't want to stay for any length of time. - Mitchells

Gravel and mud throughout the campground. The row of our sites was set up so that your leisure side of your RV was facing your neighbor's leisure side also. The picnic tables were right next to each other. Picnic table had a broken seat that had obviously been broken a long time. Heavy traffic from long term campers going and coming to work. - Dennison
Sep 2019 - $48.00
We stayed here two nights. The campground is all gravel and sites are fairly close together but workable for all sizes of RVs. Office staff was helpful with area restaurant suggestions and things to visit in the area. It is handy off I-80. - gbburgess

this is an open and honest review of the travel camp. I will break it down it to a few sections. Price, location, sites, and staff. First is the price, yes it was only 35 a night which is on the lower end of the scale as far as RV sites go. But as the title reads you definitely get what you pay for with the travel camp ( Which is CHEAP). Second is the location, it is located RIGHT next to the freeway and a railroad track that runs trains all night. It was very LOUD which can make it difficult to sleep. It is only a half hour away from Flaming Gorge and is pretty close to the Green River which was nice. Now onto the sites, they are VERY basic with no amenities. We were in section E which was up a narrow road that can make access and egress difficult if it is busy. The pull thru spots while sufficient in length were very narrow and uneven. There are slight drop-offs on either side of the concrete making it easy to trip or roll an ankle which all of us did at least once. The whole place is very open with little to no trees, no shade and no privacy from other spots. There is no lighting making walking around at night unsafe unless you bring your own light. There is also no grass, just pads, dirt, gravel and lots of weeds. There are NO fire pits and only every other spot has a TINY BBQ grill. The bathrooms were not very clean or well maintained, there were 2 showers in the men's room with one being out of service. The other was unclean and tiny. While the water was at least hot, the shower was a pain in the butt to get to the right temp. My wife did say the women's bathrooms were ok. The manager was rude and charged us extra because we checked out at 11:30 instead of 11, even though we were never informed of a check out time. DO NOT stay here. Find ANY where else - brandon morgan

Section E up the hill is where we stayed. When you pull in the road to the left is uphill to section e.... so do not pull too far in. Nice park. Section E is all paved. This park has the best wifi that I have ever had. You are welcome to stream. Over 20mbps at times. The Verizon connection is tenuous at best. - dragonsix

The shower/toilet building is fairly new and built in a convenient place. However, only AFTER we set up in our site and paid for the night did we find out that all the regular showers are out of order. A sign stated that all should use the handicap shower room. Do not use the address listed in the 2019 Trailer Life (the 'big book') for your GPS. The RV park is actually at 360 Washington Ave. - WNC Traveler
