Our back-in W/E site was on grass, not gravel, and backed up to the river. However, it was very close to the site next to us and backed up to the highway bridge as well. So, it was not very private and was very noisy due to all the logging trucks on the highway. But, after the evening rain shower, it had only one small puddle near the front corner. Many of the back-in sites farther from the highway seemed to be filled with seasonal RVs. Dump was convenient and had a threaded water hose to connect to our black tank flush. The very helpful office manager who checked us in was one of those seasonal workers because owner who lives on-site, was busy running for the Wyoming State Senate. We camped at Lazy Acres Campground & Motel in a Fifth Wheel.

If you are looking for an RV "resort" move along. This small campground is rustic and beautiful, situated on the Encampment river and covered in huge trees. The owners live on the property and keep it in tip top shape. Grassy areas and huge cottonwood trees (can be a little messy at certain times of the year). The bathroom, shower and laundry are cleaner than my house. Encampment/Riverside is a small community in rural Wyoming. That's why we like it. Not much going on except mountains and wildlife. The wifi is spotty...who cares! My husband and I come here every year for the scenery, peace and quiet. We camped at Lazy Acres Campground & Motel in a Travel Trailer.

This is a beautiful site, lightly wooded with the river as one border. Well kept and very helpful and friendly owners. It is well worth the drive down from the I-80. We wanted to stay longer. We camped at Lazy Acres Campground & Motel in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Take supplies if you like but there is a bar nearby with food plus a grocers/garage next door. Music sometimes at the Bear Trap opposite. And close to Encampment which is well worth exploring. Wonderful.

Very nice family owned campground in the small town of Riverside WY. Located on the Encampment River but most of the sites are located uphill from the water. Sites have large trees but we were able to connect our satellite dish to DirecTV. They also have cable with a decent selection of channels. Sites are level and all of the utilities worked fine. WiFi in park was fast enough for us to stream a couple of Amazon Prime movies. AT&T worked fine but no Verizon service. We would stay at this park again if we are in the area. We camped at Lazy Acres Campground & Motel in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Make sure to visit the Grand Encampment Museum in Encampment WY. Drive the scenic byway from Riverside to Laramie through Medicine Bow NF to see the Snowy Mountain Range. Bella's Bistro in Saratoga (about 20 miles north of Riverside) is a great place for Italian food. There is also a small microbrewery (Snowy Mountain Brewery) located in Saratoga Resort & Spa.

What a gem! In the middle of nowhere, in the hamlet of Riverside (population 59). Owner found a BBQ grill for us (although we ended up not using it). Beautiful, peaceful spot with a river (North Platte?) at one end. Just what camping should be. Friendly people, lots of ability to interact with other guests. Possibly not for really big rigs, but perfect for our 25' Class C. Would love to go back. We camped at Lazy Acres Campground & Motel in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Lazy Acres Campground is wonderful. The park has 34 RV sites, of those, 17 are full hookups. Most sites have good shade. It is on the banks of the Encampment River. Roads and sites are gravel and level. Good site spacing. Cleanest restrooms I've seen. Park owners are helpful and very friendly. The park and grounds are groomed and clean. Very popular, advanced reservations advised. We were in full hookup site #5 with great shade and lots of room for our 38' 5th wheel. We will definitely return. It made our top 10 parks. We camped at Lazy Acres Campground & Motel in a Fifth Wheel.

We had setup a reservations for Friday and Saturday night in June 2017. We arrived and checked in. We were then walked to our "spot" which was terrible, I thought they had just stopped us in the middle of a road. The picnic table they said was ours was a good 40 feet from the parking location, and the spot behind us was so close the their fire pit was with in about 10 feet of my trailer. When I ask if there was a better option, an man stated in a very rude manner that was it and if you will follow me to the office we'll refund your money and you can leave, and started walking to the office. It felt like his attitude was too bad you don't like it, here is your refund, now leave. There are better campgrounds in the area They were so packed in, it felt like trying to get a seat on a airplane. We camped at Lazy Acres Campground & Motel in a Tent Trailer.

We had a nice site, close to the river. Lots of trees and grass. I believe we had only 30 amp but that was fine because we did not use the A/C. WiFi was good. Cell service is very good. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They guided us into our site. There was an issue with one tree limb; the owner took care of it. He brought us a fire ring at our request. We did not have a sewer hookup because I had not reserved early enough. It worked out OK. The owner will provide you a portable tank to dump if you need it. We had a flat tire on our rig. The owner helped us take that off, and put on the spare. He drove me to a garage to get the flat repaired; then he took me back to the park. Trash disposal is very handy. Needless to say, we would definitely stay here again. The one caveat is mosquitoes. They are quite prevalent between late June and late August - just an FYI. No real grocery stores nearby. I recommend you arrive well stocked with what you need. We camped at Lazy Acres Campground & Motel in a Fifth Wheel.

Site E3 pull-through was probably the prettiest camp site we've stayed at in the past 6 months full timing on the road. We needed an overnite on our trip across I80 and found this gem on Allstays and RV Park Reviews. Cable working well. WiFi working well. Electric and water both good. Easy in and out. Actual campsite always makes the park for us and E3 a gem. We camped at Lazy Acres Campground & Motel in a Travel Trailer.

Nice, clean park with very friendly owners. There are two restaurants across the highway with excellent food. We were here for hiking and found it a bit far to drive up to Snowy Range trails on Hwy 130. We were under a "weeping" tree, but it rinsed right off. There is one shower and two restrooms (for each), but never any problem getting in. The dump station is not conveniently located so we skipped it rather than do a lot of maneuvering around. It was on the wrong side if you were leaving--there was not enough room for us to turn a 30' fifth wheel and someone always had a vehicle parked in the way on one side. Otherwise, it is a very good park and we would surely stay there again. Wi-Fi works everywhere; just a little slow. We were by the river. It was always quiet in the park. We camped at Lazy Acres Campground & Motel in a Fifth Wheel.

A step back in time but what a nice place. Great people. Clean laundry. All dirt and grass but level. Right on the river but RVs are off the bank by 100 yards. Tents next to the water. Would love to go back. We camped at Lazy Acres Campground & Motel in a Motorhome.

Friendly staff, but only Wi-Fi antenna is on owner's house, and the signal doesn't reach the entire park, which problem is compounded by no Verizon signal either. The owners said that if they extended the Wi-Fi to the entire park, everyone would use it and use up their bandwidth! Geez, that's like McDonald's not stocking up on burgers because everyone might buy one. The park is not well laid out, and the roads and camp sites are simply dirt. I obviously was not as impressed as prior reviewers. I've stayed at much nicer parks in remote areas of the West. We camped at Lazy Acres Campground & Motel in a Travel Trailer.

Very friendly staff. Park was ok, quiet with wide spots for pullouts. My only complaint was Wi-Fi service which we could only get at certain places in the park. Verizon phone service is non-existent not only in the RV park but the whole area. Nice way to get away from the phones though. I will stay there again and recommend this park. We camped at Lazy Acres Campground & Motel in a Motorhome.
