I'm in a 40 ft. motorhome and found this park to be a little inadequate. This is a really an old park with some strange features. We pulled through one site to reach the site in which we parked. We shared the electrical box with the camper who later parked (backed in) behind us. We had the 50 A. outlet and they had the 30 A. outlet. Overhead tree branches hang lower than my height -- I don't like that. When we pulled out, it was tight. I was worried about pulling out of our spot, but the biggest problem was negotiating the roads. I watched a "planted" railroad tie pass about 6" on my right side while I dodge other stuff on the left side. Fifth wheels and trailers bend in the middle, motor homes don't. We camped at Fountain of Youth RV Park in a Motorhome.

They are laid back, no credit card or email to confirm your reservation just "No worries we have your site" Well, they didn't. The owner did make it work and got us a site. While she stated, because she lost our reservation that I called to confirm twice, "We are only human." She, otherwise was nice and helpful. The restrooms were almost unusable because of the smell and uncleanliness. Seems they are newer owners and cleaning up the place but they have a ways to go and the bathroom should be at the top of the list. Pool, only reason people go is nice, very large for a hot springs pool and has good views. Even with the negatives the place was full so hopefully simple pride of ownership will encourage them to keep improving and cleaning up the place. We camped at Fountain of Youth RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is an older park, all pull through sites. I would say the sites are good for about 45-50 ft rig. Some sites don't have sewer hookup. The Hot spring/pool is what I came for. Very nice big pools from warm to very hot mineral water. We camped at Fountain of Youth RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Wonderful, huge hot spring soaking pools. Park itself is under new management and improvements are underway. Pools are regularly cleaned and the temperatures are perfect. Water lines are warmed by the underground heat so tap water is always warm. A bit of sulfur smell in the air but not unbearable. Convenient to Thermopolis, WY. We camped at Fountain of Youth RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wonderful and free hot springs at the state park in Thermopolis in addition to the huge pools in the park. Railroad on one side has occasional trains. Highway on the other side but evenings are reasonably quiet. We stay here as often as possible.

The Basics: Gravel roads and sites, tight turns, and spaces right on top of one another. The rate has a 10% tax you can do the math for what you'll end up paying. No discounts available. They have picnic tables that are all in need of paint and or replacement. They have a fire ring that right next to the next space's coach, can you scorched RV? The power hook ups have good power but they box is so close to the ground you have to put a very sharp bend in your power cord to hook up. The sewer hook up is at the rear of the site and required 30' of hose to reach (I only had 25') They have 5 washing machines of which only 4 work and none have hot water, 4 dryers of which only one works. One of my pet peeves it will cost you $.25 for 2.5 minutes of water in the shower. It is also right next to the train track and road. However the road and train noise is not that great an impact. The water is very hard. Their web site has the wrong prices published. On the plus side they have free Wifi that is pretty fast. So as an RV park it's not as dumpy as some I stayed at but it's over priced for what it is. The rate you pay is pretty much what you'll pay at most high end RV resorts with none of the amenities. However if you factor in the fact that they have two large hot springs pools that are included in the price and most hot springs charge $10-15 per person the cost is reasonable. If we come here again I'm up in the air if well stay here again. We camped at Fountain of Youth RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very small sites; dirt with some rocks. Neighbor's sewer was right outside our door. Management did NOT enforce occupancy rules or quiet hours. Up to seven cars of adults with children and dogs spent the two days we were here, partying until very early in the morning! The only reason we would never return to this park is the size of the sites and the non-enforcement of their own published rules!

The on-site hot springs (the reason we stayed in Thermopolis, WY) were large, clean and nice. We camped at Fountain of Youth RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

we stayed here a month. We have visited here off and on over the last 19 years and were so disappointed to see its present condition. Made reservations, but were told they didn't have them--this story was told to many of the visitors I talked to over the month. Usually the CG is nearly full all the time with folks staying a month or the summer to enjoy the water.

About cried when we saw the condition of our site. Dried out foxtails and tall weeds. Anyone bringing a pet here should google "foxtailes can kill your dog" to see what to do to protect your pet. Not much maintainace going on here. They owners had fired the grounds keeper. Lawn is only water at the entrance and in front of the owners' house which they spend all their time remodeling. The pool was only cleaned twice in the month we were there, They have no printed CG rules and people let dogs and kids wander everywhere. The CG was never full. even over 7/4. Don't think we'll ever come back. We camped at Fountain of Youth RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Old and tired. At check in, our host endlessly apologized for the state of the grounds. Why draw attention to something that is obvious? Sites are close. Grounds are about as attractive as an ATV recreation track. Glad we were not here in the rain.

OK, that stated, if you want to visit the marvelous funk of Thermopolis, this is your place. We did the state park, home of the world's largest hot spring, and it was good, but this RV park has its own hot spring and pools. The pools are mineral laden and seem unclean but 1.3 million gallons of spring water flow through them each day. The water is hot and good. I often get a sketchy back from the agonies of setting up camp. 20 minutes in their pools and I was ready for Chubby Checker and the Twist.

Net net...stay here and enjoy, for one or two nights. We camped at Fountain of Youth RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Owner was friendly, led us to our site and helped us park. This park is not big rig friendly. Seems to be a post, pole or tree on all the corners of every site. Sites are gravel and narrow but level. Site was not long enough for my 38' rig plus tow vehicle. No full-timers that I could see but tent campers are allowed. Sewer is at back of site, water pressure is strong, be careful! Interior roads are dirt and narrow.

Big plus is the onsite hot spring with 3 large pools to swim in.

There is a fairly busy train track, 50 yards from the back of the park, but as the train runs thru town, I think the other parks will have the same issue.

Owner advertises 12PM checkout but asked me (and 3 others campers that I asked) to be out by 9AM. We camped at Fountain of Youth RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The main reason to come here is for the onsite thermal pools. The thermal pools were relaxing and historically interesting. As long as the pools are your focus you might be satisfied. The RV park itself is not in good repair. Three of the four dryers had out of order signs on them. The picnic tables are in bad shape. The landscaping consists of weeds and gravel. The WiFi was fairly stable. We camped at Fountain of Youth RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We are huge fans of all types of hot springs and pools, and that gives a big boost to this place. They have two huge outdoor pools, which we had to ourselves. This is definitely an older park that could use a lot of talc. The sites are very close together and the drives are also tight, so bigger outfits might have trouble maneuvering in here. Roads and sites are old gravel with grass and trees between. Each had a picnic table. The bathrooms were ancient and could definitely have been cleaner. The showers are pay and are little cell rooms that were not very appealing. The owner was very friendly. No cell service, but the wifi was speller with no one else in the park. Despite the negatives, I would do an overnight here again just to soak in the pools! We camped at Fountain of Youth RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

New owners rude! Trash everywhere, bathrooms smelled like they haven't, been cleaned in a week, showers slick with mold and mildew, pool slimey, did I mention new owners are rude?!?, sites too close and not maintained between guest visits, new owners threatened to physically harm us for breaking unposted rules ( smoking in pool area), left after 2 hrs, had to threaten to call the police for assistance to get $$ back. Never again!! We camped at Fountain of Youth RV Park in a Tent.

We were on our way home from Yellowstone and needed an overnight stop and found this campground. We were not sure what to expect due to the reviews we read online (not very good), but when we called another campground in the area, which was full, they informed us that the campgrounds had new owners and that the old reviews may not be totally accurate. We were happy we decided to stay there, our site was a nice size (we had a pull thru with full hookups), the WiFi worked well and the mineral hot springs pool was a wonderful experience (though you do have to get use to the smell of sulfurous - common in mineral hot springs). The owners were very nice and are working on fixing areas in the campground, but everything takes time and they have only owned it since March. It was a great experience and would recommend staying there. We camped at Fountain of Youth RV Park in a Motorhome.

From the road, this looks like a pretty little place, grass, level concrete pads, so we momentarily forgot that beauty is only skin deep. When we mentioned that the RV Park reviews for the place were a bit dodgy, the lounging host said “Well, you can’t always believe them online reviews.” You can believe these. I am not sure that the electric is what caused my microwave to suddenly go crazy, but it did. After looking at the setup, I did not hook up to the water or sewer, and did not try the WiFi…and there was no cell phone reception. My spouse had planned to try the thermal pool here, but after looking at the restrooms, and at the stuff floating (some possibly swimming) in the pool, she decided against it. She went for a shower, opened the first one to find it full of running bugs, the second to find what appeared to be a used syringe; used the third reluctantly (the fourth had an abandoned scrunchy lying on the bench). The mens restroom had one urinal, one toilet stall, and three sinks. You won’t have to wait to get into the bathroom though, the latch hardware has been removed. There were spider webs on the urinal and on the air freshener, which didn’t. There was an empty soap dispenser, and no paper towel or hand drier. The person responsible for mopping the center of the floor did not extend that effort to the corners. We went through a container of anti-bacterial hand wipes in one night. There is some highway noise, although that is not too bad since you are below the highway, adjacent to the railroad tracks. Have I mentioned the trains? The tracks run just behind this small park. Trains roaring past make the ground shake…literally shake. The owner of this place apparently lives in what looks like a nice, clean, modern house above the premises; it is unfortunate the same effort has not been extended to the campground facilities. We stayed one night in a popup trailer. I’d say a fair one-night price might lie somewhere between zero and fourteen dollars, but we paid $38 for the privilege. In the future, we will stay someplace at least an hour’s drive away from Thermopolis. I gave it a 3 because I've seen one worse campground, and presumably there could be one worse than that out there. We camped at Fountain of Youth RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

This place is pretty junky. Spaces are extremely tight and they were experiencing sewer problems when we were there so you could smell open sewer most of the time. Park is very unkempt and one could easily tell that very little money is spent on upkeep. We would not return here unless it was a last resort. We camped at Fountain of Youth RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
