We've stayed here 4 different times over the last 2 years. It remains my favorite campground on the Alaska Highway. The setting is remote and beautiful. Check in is always easy, and staff is friendly and helpful. The grounds are huge, and there are interesting artifacts from the construction of the highway all over the grounds. Roads are easily navigable for big rigs, and our pull-through site was level and long enough for our 38' MH plus toad. Plus the western view of the mountains is amazing. We actually connected to the DISH satellite when the skies were clear. Water pressure was average. WiFi available only at the office, and it is sporadic - emails at best. No cell service here. 30 amp service (no breaker) was reliable at our site, but large coaches should be as close to the office as possible as I understand the current can degrade further away. The entire property is powered by giant diesel generators that hum along 24/7, but the noise is not that intrusive. This is remote Yukon, so there may be bears. Two years ago one wandered through the park as I was preparing the coach to leave, and it got within about 20 feet of me before running away. Not sure if we will return to this part of the world again anytime soon, but if we do I will certainly stay here again. It is beautiful. We camped at Discovery Yukon Lodgings in a Motorhome.

About 30 miles from Beaver Creek. What a pleasant surprise. Expected another potholed gravel parking lot. A lovely RV park in a beautiful setting. Old military camp from the days of the Alaska Highway construction. WiFi at office, but it never worked. Just there overnight otherwise would have dinged them a couple points for that. Satellite with local programming out of Anchorage or Fairbanks. No cable. Water pressure poor. Good 30 amp service from an on-site diesel generator. Nice grassy patios. Huge greenbelt/runway in front. $1 for 2 minute showers. Office filled with stuffed wildlife. No glossy brochure. Staff walks in front of your RV and leads you to your site then talks to you about the amenities. Nice washrooms and private showers. Gravel roads and sites. Level. Beautiful little pond with fountain and flowers. Army green tents and really cute cabins. We camped at Discovery Yukon Lodgings in a Motorhome.

This is an "off the grid" RV park 30 miles south of Beaver Creek. No wifi - their hot spot inside does not work. No laundry. Runs by generators and one was down when we got there - could not use AC - thank goodness it was cool out! PT sites are fairly level and easy in/easy out - gravel. Staff nice. Interesting yard art - a collection of left over equipment from the building of the ALCAN! We camped at Discovery Yukon Lodgings in a Motorhome.

this is a cant miss park 30 miles east of the border. Picturesque park with some of the old equipment used to build the highway. Very friendly people. We have stayed here on many of occasions. Wide open gravel sites with trees throughout. We camped at Discovery Yukon Lodgings in a Motorhome.

Access was easy, the site level gravel with grass surround. There was a picnic table and we had plenty of room. The staff was friendly and very helpful and we were guided to our site. Utilities were convenient, 30Amp, sewer and water. We stayed one night but would gladly return if we are in the area again. We camped at Discovery Yukon Lodgings in a Fifth Wheel.

Located about 32 miles south of the community of Beaver Creek, this was a great private full hookup campground for an overnight stop. We had a pull through and were escorted to our site. They had some Yukon tents and cabins for those without their own equipment. The sites were nicely spaced with a mixture of grass and trees. I would likely stop here again if going to or coming from Alaska. We camped at Discovery Yukon Lodgings in a Travel Trailer.

Reviews from May / June 2018 are accurate and thorough. Posting to add an image from the park. We were one of the closest sites to the generator and the continual hum was noticeable. Light rain did mask most of it. We would stay here again. We camped at Discovery Yukon Lodgings in a Motorhome.

A most welcome respite after enduring the high winds and frost upheaval on the road up from Haines Junction. Once known as White River Lodge, the original building, now the office, was part of the Alaskan Highway construction. Wide, level gravel pull-though sites look out on a grass airstrip and nearby mountains, as do some of the back-ins. 30 amp, water and sewer at our site. WiFi available in the office for checking email and other low usage. Electric provided by 2 generators, well water. The airstrip is popular for exercising dogs (clean up after, please). It's quiet, even with the generator in the background, and the air is deliciously pure. Displays of the Alcan Highway's military construction vehicles are sited throughout the park. The office has a display of local wildlife, including a grizzly that was shot inside the office. Weather permitting, a nightly communal firepit gives one the opportunity to meet other campers and share road tales. We would happily stay at this immaculate campground again. We camped at Discovery Yukon Lodgings in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Many opportunities for walks in the woods and down to the White River, but go in groups and/or take office-provided horns and whistles. If you have bear spray, take that, too.

This is a relatively secluded RV park (and cabins) adjacent to a grass landing strip, not near any towns. Grass and gravel sites - ours was exactly level side-to-side. All facility power is provided by a generator. No cable TV, no OTA TV, no cell service; wifi was supposedly working only at office but we found it unusable. Staff were very friendly and we actually enjoyed overnighting here. Lack of communication options might be a plus or a minus for you... The landing strip makes a pleasant morning walk and for playing chuck-it with the dog. We were here in late May and the owner was still getting water and sewer lines unfrozen. We camped at Discovery Yukon Lodgings in a Fifth Wheel.

Had a gravel, pull through site that took a one inch board to level side to side. There were trees on both side of my site. The grounds are very pretty with lots of grass. The view of the mountains in Kulane National Park was fantastic. There was no cable or over the air TV. AT&T did not have service. The WI-FI did not work in our spot. If you don't need electronics, this is a great park to relax. We camped at Discovery Yukon Lodgings in a Travel Trailer.

This is a most lovely campground but sites are narrow. The grounds are very well maintained and there are old and antiques items around the property - ringer washing machines, army vehicles, etc. There is no cell service but there is a pay phone at the office, where there is slow WiFi.
