New RV owners (Forest River Shasta Revere) and went only once so far since purchasing TT.
Looking to go camping on Canadian Thanksgiving (next weekend). I would like a nice campground near or in the vicinity ( 25 miles or so) Syracuse only because we drive from Kingston Ontario and am still nervous to venture on unknown roads (scare of low bridges or overpass).
Also looking for a campground where there are still people. Empty campgrounds creep me out.
    any suggestion?

    thank you

Wellesly Is State Park. Further than 25 miles, but a very nice campground on the St Lawrence River. It's just down from the Canadian Customs. You get off the exit just before the second bridge and make two rights into the park. Reservations are made through Reserve America.com.

Check and see if they are still open. F loop is full hookups. Just checked, F loop is open till Oct. 15th.

Enjoy your weekend. We love it up there. Bob
