Hi I am taking over the lease on an RV park and it appears that the winter months the electric bill is outrageous, im trying to figure out how to offset this, we are pretty much full through the winter months but that seem to be part of the issue, any advice for me ?

Operating costs come with the territory. If you rent someone a site with 30 or 50 amp service, there isn't much you can do to keep them from using what they're paying for. If sites are individually metered, you could gradually convert over to a separate charge for electricity for longer term guests, I suppose. That's not uncommon...

So it seems my best bet would be to raise the monthly rate of the coldest months to offset the increased power usage ?

Your rates should be as high as the market will tolerate without adversely impacting your occupancy rate.
