Who's switched over to a hammock for sleeping? What brand you like. Better than ground sleeping? Been spending a lot of time on a hammock forum. Got me wanting to give it a go!
In the past I've seen pics of hard core campers in tents camping on mountain ranges, lots of gear can be bought to compensate for extreme weather conditions, can that be done with a hammock? Edit: I guess you could set up a hammock inside of a tent? Mike
Yeah, that's the ticket. But instead of a tent why not just build a nice insulated log cabin and set the hammock up inside by the huge stone fireplace. Okay, I know, there's a wise arse on every forum and I accept the nomination............. Nothing like taking a wee afternoon nap in a nice comfy hammock by a stream with a gentle warm breeze blowing...... But for now me thinks I'll just stick with me olde RV and let the hammock thing be........... Welcome to the forum Grayson Everett. Good to have you aboard, hammock and all....
Our mountain hiking daughters have lightweight Hennesy hammocks with rainflies and bug netting similar to this one: Hennesy Hammock Explorer Ultralight
This would be my idea of roughing it! Side note, How I wish I could be in that Hammock now! This coming weekend we are supposed to have...brrrr... frigid weather as I am stuck inside recovering from foot surgery... Mike
Hey Mike - - -With the way this past year has gone for most all of us, we could all use a little "hammock time" in a backyard such as this one. Someone you know or is this your own backyard...............? Shor do be purdy.......... Enjoy, Terry.............(aka BankShot)
Hey Terry, this is where I do my backyard hammock camping, no boondocking here as I have loads of amenities! Mike
